Need advice on where to leave my Car at Sea-tac airport.

11 nights in September.
Thinking it may be better to stay at hotel then drive ourselves to the airport. Seems more secure ( we have been looking at the Best Western that is closest to the airport) plus it seems like it would be easier to return to our car upon returning, which may be worth it's weight in gold considering we will still have to cross the border and catch a ferry to the Island after arriving.

But I am basing that on nothing more than guessing. And as much as I said worth it's weight in gold, cost IS a BIT of a factor. It just comes in 3rd after security and time managment

All thoughts and advice appreciated.

We use Master Park Valet. It's about $12.95 per day. We like using it for security, since the SEATAC area is known for car theft/break-ins. For us, paying to park at Master Park Valet is worth its weight in gold knowing that our car is in good hands during our vacation and that when we get back, we don't get any nasty surprises. Peace of mind is worth paying for, IMHO. :thumbsup2

Also, if you're Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members, there's a special going on as well, tho I can't quite remember what it is...but nevertheless, you do get Alaska mileage for using Master Park.

If you go on the Master Park SEATAC website, there are online coupons you can use.

If we sleep over to catch an early flight, we always use Priceline.com and bid for our hotel - usually $55-$65. But note that these hotels do charge for parking (usually $18-$20 for the night), so add that to your cost.

We stayed at Courtyard Marriot Seattle close to Southcentre mall. It was nice and clean, they have a free shuttle to and from the airport and they offered free 7 day parking for the night we stayed. We stayed on the return as our flight was late and they extended our parking to include an additional 7 days. This worked out perfect because we went to WDW for 15 days. I felt secure in the lot and there was no hassle or issues.
I would recommend this again as then i have lots of time to get to Sea-Tac and fly the next day and i can take my time returning to the island and stopping up the I5 along the way.
plus as a bonus it gave me an excuse to go to Cheescake factory for another excellent dinner.:cool1:

I stay in the Southcenter area too, it's only a 8 min shuttle ride to the airport, but it's just far enough away from the airport hotels that parking is more secure.
We've stayed at Marriott Towneplace Suites Southcenter. Their rooms are 1 King (or queen) plus pull out sofa. It also has a full kitchen, Managers reception 3 nights a week and breakfast. Free parking for 2 weeks. Security patrols the parking lot. Great Staff, never had a problem. I request a ground floor room. It looks like a town home complex. 2 floors but no elevator. Center courtyard with a nice pool and BBQ area. Close to restaurants and shopping at Southcenter Mall.

We look at it as our vacation starts when we leave for Seattle.

We've also stayed at The Doubletree Southcenter but they cut back their parking to 1 week and room prices went up.

Last time we stayed at the Best Western in that area. It was ok. Rooms were a decent size, 2 beds can't remember if they were queen or double. Rooms needed some TLC. Broken bedside lamp, torn shade on other lamp. Great staff. When I called to say bedside lamp was broken, someone was up in minutes to replace it.

All the hotels I believe in Southcenter area have shuttle service.

Whats nice about this area is there is stuff to do. We love going to Cheesecake Factory or Bahama Breeze for dinner, and a stroll around the Mall. We try to get there in the afternoon early enough to go out a bit.

At the Airport area there's nothing there. And I think the hotels there have a higher theft rate because they know you're going to be away awhile.

Last year we stayed at the Best Western Executel. Can't help with the parking as my mom and sister drove us down and we stayed the night before our flight then niece and I got on the shuttle after breakfast.

We did the reverse on the way home. My mom and sister picked us up at the airport using the shuttle. Then we all took the shuttle to the BWE and stayed the night again.

We enjoyed the breakfast. Lots of choices and my sister even got up really early and got muffins.

The year before we stayed at a Holiday Inn-not as good as the BWE.

I will happily second the recommendation for MasterPark (we have used their services twice)! Great service and decent price, plus not having to worry about your vehicle :thumbsup2 If you go to their website, they always have coupons available and as stated above, you will earn Alaska Airlines points for using MastePark too! :goodvibes

We have used the Doubletree at the airport, the Hampton Inn at the airport and the Courtyard, which is quite far and offers no parking. We loved the Doubletree at the airport. There stay and fly for 2 weeks was only 220 and that was for a room the night before we left that held 6. I would do it no other way.
