I have some questions for past and future SBP brides, and would love all advice!

How did your ceremony go? Was it simple, just the minister saying his thing, or did you have readers, ushers, that kind of thing? I want to include my Godfather as a reader but I can't seem to visualize how it would work at SBP. where do they stand? where do the bride and groom go when this is happening?

How did you arrive at the ceremony, and depart after? I would LOVE to do Cinderella's coach but I'm not sure it's in the budget. Other suggestions? Is there a 'holding spot' for the bride before the ceremony where people wont see me?

What kind of music did you have? Solo, duet? Instrumental, vocalist? Is there anything that would sound horrible at that location?

thanks in advance for any suggestions!:)

I'm doing Sea Breeze Point next September, so I'm curious too! Great questions. :)

We were married Dec 5 2008 at SBP. It was a simple 15 minute ceremony. It was just the officiant myself and DH up there. The kids sat on the floor behind me. I told them they could go to their seats by their mother didn't know that and told them to stay up there.

No ushers or readers. We did not even have programs because we knew our ceremony was no longer than 15 minutes. We each had our own custom vows that we said but that was it. My brother did a toast at the cake cutting.

I would figure your godfather would come up and stand kinda where the BP does and do his thing. You guys would stay up there.

We walked to the ceremony from the BW lobby. They had the guests get seated and placed my hubby. Then the FG RB my dad and I walked up later. The coordinator will guide you.

We just had the violinist and you could hear him perfectly.

While you are on the BW people will see you. But when you are in SBP it is more private then people realize and you do not notice anyone walking past at all.

I posted some pics so you can kinda see the setup. HTH.

I may have posted too many pics but you seemed to have a lot of questions so I hope this helps with the positioning etc.

I'm also a September SBP bride. One of my main concerns was the fact that I wouldn't have a staged entrance, and everybody would see me walking from the BW to SBP, including my DF! Apparently there is no getting around this, or so my planner has told me. I suppose I'll just have my BM's block me and have the groomsmen make him turn so he doesn't see until I'm walking down the aisle. Otherwise, what's the point of not taking pics together before the ceremony??

As for music I was originally going to go with a CD/MP3 player. But the thought of having to assign someone to press play and "next" sounded horrible, and I thought it would sound odd if all of a sudden a song stopped and the next song started. So, we're going with a keyboardist who will also play at the cocktail hour. Now the songs will flow into one another and all will be well!

As for departing, my reception is at the BW so everyone will be walking there. I can't really imagine buses or limos right outside SBP, but then I don't know how people having a reception elsewhere do it. And if you're talking actual entrance and departure, I plan on walking up the center of SBP. I know that some brides have everyone make there entrance through the side piers.

HTH! I would love to know how other brides conquered this entrance stuff!

I walked from the BW with my brother to SBP. It was a lot of fun esp. b/c the BW was PACKED that night. Then waited on the left side with my girls for my entrance (DH and the guys came in from the right). There is no "holding spot" except for if it's really hot then they might have the bride wait inside ESPN Club before the ceremony.

Our ceremony was very traditional and we did have 2 readers as well as an usher. For the readings, Rev. Tim called them up individually and they stood in his place in front of us which worked fine. As far as musicians- we had a string trio which was lovely-- they filled the area with music w/o being overpowering.

Cindy's Coach does not come down on the BW. The alternative transportation you can have at SBP is the horse drawn carriage or the "surrey" which is more like a rikshaw (not to be confused with the surreys you can rent) that can take you back to the hotel or around Crescent Lake after your ceremony. I wanna say it was around $300, but something tells me it was more. Disney has a company that they rent them from and you pay that co. directly.

Hope this helps a little. When my computer decides to cooperate I'll post some pics. :thumbsup2

Ok- computer's cooperating now! :thumbsup2

Walking up the side

We went behind the "Bride's side" & up through the middle.

Hope this helps visualize an alternative entrance @ SBP! Good Luck in your planning! :)

Oh. Hmm. I knew the Horse-drawn carriage came down, but not the Coach. Cool though- I stand corrected! That's good for the girls who'd want it! :)
