Do they work? Picked some up at Target today.

And if you prefer something else for motion sickness, what is it?

Yes they do work. Make sure you read the directions on how to put them on though....they have to be on a specific point. We hardly use them. The first year we used them to sleep. We always take them just in case.

They also offer some motion sickness pills outside of the medical office on deck 1 for FREE!! On the first day, we ususally go down and grab about 10 packs just incase of rough seas.

I don't remember what kind it is though.

They didn't work for me or anyone i traveled with....Bonine is what I used and it worked great, I started taking it the day prior to travel and had no trouble at all...and i am a person who does get seasick. I think the seabands are more like mind over matter but some people do say they have worked for htem.

How many bonine did you take.? I just bought some for our 11/4 cruise. I get seasick and want to take them the correct way. I will try to take them the day before the trip...good idea.

I just took one every morning and I was fine. I get sick on fishing boats that only go out for 3 hours LOL but with one bonine a day I was fine the whole time. One night we were really rocking too, the closet sliding doors were sliding back and forth so much I had to shove rags in the doorways to stop the noise but I didn't get sick!

Does Bonine have many side effects, drowsiness or dry mouth..etc. I can't take antihistimines because they just knock me out!! I have a low tolerance for some meds...

I personally didn't have any but I know you are not supposed to drink while taking any...I did have one drink a day for 3 of the days on the cruise and had no trouble with it.

I have historically had minor seasickness problems in the past. On our May 04 cruise i wore the seabands for the majority of the time and they really, really worked for me. I took them off one morning and ended up feeling quite ill ... i took a less-drowsy dramamine and it knocked me out for the whole rest of the day!!
