I am here now and they are running testing loading and unloading for cast members only. I hope they do soft open for the public sometime this week.

Today is CM only BUT they have to have a ticket. DD is a CM based at EPCOT, her managers do not have tickets to give out, she went to the ride today around noon and inquired and was told she could not ride! She was not a happy camper! She heard today is the last day for CMs and soft openings start tomorrow.

I so hope that is true. We leave friday for 6 nights. Will be in MK almost once a day since we will have our 16 month old with us.

I've been here since 5/11 and every time I've been to MK, it's been a hard no we open May 28. Though on 5/11 we saw someone on the tracks taking photos and there've been a lot of training appreciation groups floating around the park.

Well the whole CM thing is to practice loading and unloading etc. No doubt the "soft opening period" begins tomorrow. The next two weeks will be hit and miss I bet. I would miss for sure-because that is my luck.

I heard today they want to have it in soft opening for the 24 hrs on the 23rd.. so here's to hoping that's true as I'll be there for the 22nd and 23rd.

They aren't going to say there will be soft openings, since the point of them is they are hit or miss.

agreed. Plus if something goes wrong and it's not open then people get upset. So soft openings are always surprise!

I really hope the soft openings happen next week!! We figured when we planned this trip we would be there when it was opened, so it would be a nice bonus for it to open up.

I spoke with CM today. He said they are wrapping up testing with MK employees today. Next week they are testing with all Wdw employees. Then they will do emergency testing, ie accidents, vomit, wheelchairs, etc after that.

So that doesn't sound hopeful for soft openings while we are there. Sounds like tops of 4-5 days before opening....
