Hi All I will be in MK on Thurs 2/28 and couldn't get a Mine Train FP. Is Mine Train still the first stop for everyone at rope drop? Just wondering. We'll be able to do a fast walk but I don't want to be crazy. Do all the folks at BOG for breakfast still head over there? It's been 4 years since I've been to Disney and I feel like a newbie so much has changed! Thanks!

I've read, that yes, that is where A LOT of the rope drop crowd heads to. And yes most of the folks at BOG do head over after their breakfast. I read that you just need to keep trying, especially the night before or day of doing the refresh strategy. People change their plans all the time! You can actually try going to Mine Train from the left of the castle instead of the right between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland where many go in to get to Mine Train. I believe if you go left of the castle that's closer to Peter Pan and you might do better getting to Mine Train that way without getting "trampled". :scared1: Someone correct me if I'm wrong please. I'm only going by maps I see on @Robo stickie at the top. Good luck no matter what and have a blast!

Thanks! This a trip that we decided to take 3 days ago and we leave 3 weeks from this Wednesday:rolleyes1....OMG so much to plan! Hopefully the crowds won't be too bad.

Unless you're in the front of rope drop, I'd plan on doing other rides w/ a short wait in the morning and keep trying for 7D by refreshing. The line builds very quickly, so IMHO it's better to ride several other rides w/ short waits then come back to 7D when all the other rides have long waits as well.

We rope dropped 7DMT during EMH on our trip this past week. It's very busy and you want to be towards the front of the pack to avoid long waits. I wouldn't walk around the left side of the castle because you get walked to 7DMT by a cast member from the right side of the castle and there will be a huge line of people moving that way. If you try to come in from the opposite direction you would be forced to the back of that line which will easily stretch to the Teacups and beyond.

Yes, it's still super popular. I would get in the queau right at opening, or during the afternoon parade, or during HEA or right at closing.

Get there early, 45 minutes before park opening and find a good spot to the right of the castle on the hub. Take the path around the right side of the castle and it will put you close to 7DMT.
If you can't get there early for RD, and the line is already big,I would head to another attraction.
If you don't care about the fireworks or the parade, the line tends to decrease around the parade and fireworks times.
