Sorry if this is answered already...so if I borrow bands from a co-worker that was just there that is in no way linked to my account will that work? I don't mind not being able to log into the app or MDE to make changes. I can just take her bands and go to the kiosk first thing in the morning, tap and go?

Yes to both of your questions as long as the loophole remains in effect.

Would love to hear back from folks as to whether this still works after the big updates on April 10th. If you try it on that day or later, please post your experience. Thank you!!!!

I need a little clarification. My family, DH and myself as well as DD4 and DS2 are headed to Disney at the end of April. My sister visited Disney last year. If I take their set of 4 MBs with me, I can make SDFP for their bands, right? Do they need to be linked as friends on my account?

Yes, you can make SDFP+ with them. Linking the accounts isn't really required for SDFP, although I'm not sure if linking will allow access to the reservation once made. See if you sister will give you her log in info, so you can manipulate the FP+'s on the MDE website once you make them if needed.

I have a friend that has a 5 days ticket he is planning to use in October. I will be in the parks in 10 days. I was able to set FP+ on his account for the days I visit (good ones).

Can I use the FP using his MB without using them to enter the parks?

At the end of the day, the system will allow to allocate new FPs using the same tickets (so he can allocate for his October visit)?

Yes, your FP's (not PF's :drinking:) should work, that is the whole idea behind FP+ "generators".

His FP entitlement will be restored, but I'm not 100% sure on the timing. I believe it is restored after that park closes for the day.

I am not sure if this has been answered BUT:

We have a child under 3 going with us and he also receives a MB could his work to get SDFP??

I think this is the big thing at this point. Probably anyone planning to go after Saturday should wait and see what's reported back before booking extra campsites, borrowing bands, linking tickets, etc. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it Sunday but hopefully I can get over there Tuesday (4/12) and test some of it out.

Thanks, marciemi! That will really be helpful. All the known changes affect MDE related FP booking. It will be interesting to see if any of the RFID kiosk/booking is affected.

From what I've read, yes. As long as they don't close the loophole by the time I go, I plan to try it. However, I'm guessing you still have to do the initial 3 at a kiosk? Or can you do the initial 3 SDFP on the app (as of 4/10). Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Updating that I'm at Epcot today and was able to use my (premade) kids' AP's for FPP even though they're not in the park. I was also able to do SDFP using old cards for people linked to my MDE, even though they have no ticket entitlements remaining, AND make changes to them on the app (vs browser). Doesn't appear they've closed that loophole! I'll keep updating as I try more!

I really wasn't expecting your results but, wow!! :D

Updating now again - I used my son's card for FPP for Spaceship Earth even though he's not here. I then cancelled his remaining 2 FPP's here at Epcoy and was able to book him GMR at HS and Barnstormer at MK (was able to book both of them now for later today).

I think you have covered everything!

And, did you use the app or the website to book the additional FPs for your son using his FP Generators?

And one more question, could you Modify a SDFP by using the app? Or, only the website?

Okay - next test - I did those SDFP's for people without tickets and was able to book at a kiosk here in Epcot for rides here and change them. But when I used one and cancelled the next 2 it would NOT let me book more in another park. It flagged that they didn't have valid tickets.

I could do it in the app.

Clarifying - I could change them in the app for the same park but could not add for another park after using one since it then said there weren't valid tickets.
