Do I stand a chance of getting SDD at 60+2 around 5:30PM for a party of 6?

I know most people have had to get SDD at 60+4 or even 60+5, but they all seem to want morning hours.

I hope so! Mainly because I am trying for 60+2, but for two people.

ETA - Sorry, I read this as SDMT. If I were you, I would try to split my part up into groups of two or three.

Always a chance, but odds will be against you for just 62 days out and a big group.

If you don't get it keep checking. Two weeks ago I got a SDD FP for my wife and I about 12 hours before we went to the park

Chances are slim, though it depends a bit on when you are going. If it's a lower crowd time, your odds increase. You also stand a better chance of getting it if you look for smaller groups. Some people report good luck searching for parties of two or three, and then trying to get an overlapping time for the others in their group. Good luck!

Last week, I got SDD at 60+4 for the first weekend in Dec. The only options were in the evening. I grabbed one of two different times. When I tried to change it a few minutes later, all SDD fastpasses were taken for the day.

If it helps, after I booked all of my fastpasses, I went back to my 60 day, which was at AK. I had booked Navi earlier because that was the only option, but I refreshed a few times and a FOP time popped up for midday! Don’t give up hope because some people change their FPs around the first few days.

We were able to get 2 FPs at 60+3 AT 3pm. Been looking for earlier FPs and nothing so far.
Its possible, but not as likely as a day or 2 later.
Good luck!

you will require a lot of luck. When people are saying they can't get 60+3, they are looking for any time of the day. You pretty much take the first one you can get.

Most likely a very slim chance. I tried to get 60+5 and had no luck during a typical slow time. Touring plans has a FP availability finder -- it only looks at getting a FP for one person, but pretty much was accurate for my time where i was not able to get 7DMT, FOP nor SDD.

I highly doubt it.

I was only trying for two people and there were none available on day 3 and 4. No times at all.

Had to go to day 68 to get an early morning FP+, don't know how much earlier in the trip I could've scored a PM one, wasn't interested.

Im really torn how to approach it...We're only going to be down for 4 days for marathon weekend and Toy Story land is obviously a priority since we haven't been as a family since last January. My HS day is 60+2. I could try 60+4 and move my HS to that day but that means we would miss out on our Artist Point ADR and to be quite honest, I think we might enjoy the ADR more than TSL with all we have read.

I think I might try 60+2 (Jan 13 - Marathon Sunday) but since thats an EMH day , I have very little faith and if I don't get it we will just plan to stick around late and hop in line at the end of EMH before the park closes.

Stick with your original plan. You can try rope drop or end of night, but even if you can't, SDD is just one ride. Wait times for regular standby are usually about an hour, so you need to do that, you can still go on SDD. Maybe plan for that hour and bring a game on your phone or have a snack to pass the time.

If you cancel the Artist Point ADR, that's an experience you miss altogether, not just one that takes longer (like a standby line). I am, however, a little confused as to why you'd need to cancel that ADR based on the park you choose for the day. An Uber/Lyft/Minnie Van would get you between any park and WL pretty efficiently.

My HS day was 60+2 during the week after Thanksgiving and I would've taken anytime during the day, but nothing was available. Good luck though!

I attempted SDD when FP+ opened at 7am the other morning. I never saw FP+ for SDD at any time, and I attempted 60+4, 60+3, and 60+1. I figured that since my party is only 2, it might give me better odds. :sad2:
