SD airport/ car rental

How difficult is it to return a car to the rental lot and take the shuttle to the airport? Is there a wait time for shuttles or due they run continuously? How much extra time should we leave ourselves? Just getting a little nervous

Returning the cars is pretty easy - at least the ones that I have used. Whatever time you expect to get to the hotel. Add another half hour to that. The shuttles run regularly between the car rental places and the airport.
