ROFL! It's funny how we could have a two syllable name, yet our families would shorten it to "Lor". I used to hear "LOR!" whenever a family member wanted me to come to whatever room they were in, since they were too lazy to come to me! And back in the day before we had a TV with a remote control, "LOR!" would be my cue to change a channel. I was such an obedient child...but that changed quickly.

Mine was used very sweetly, like "Lor could you do...?" When I was in trouble it was "Lorie Marie....."

Also in my childhood I went by Lo. My sister even gave me the name of Aunt Lo when she had kids. Now that they are in their late teens and early 20's I'm called "A. Lo".

Well, my real name is Tressa...not Teresa, Theresa, or Teressa.

I'm a huge Prince fan. So, when I was way younger, I called myself Princess (since I would certainly eventually be his wife ). As I began to learn Spanish, it became Princesa, which I later changed to Pryncesa. So, I use it almost everywhere.

My name is Jackie. As a kid, my brother gave me the name "chic", for chicken,when my parents bought a farm. He also called my sister Rosie "Roo", for rooster. He tried to give all my siblings a "farm name", but mine was the only one that really stuck.
Chic was taken already, and my dad always added the ie to chic, so I am now "Chickie" here.
To this day my family and many of my friends still call me "Chic"!

I probably have one of the most misunderstood screen names from my understanding. Mine stems from my love of Seinfeld. I read or heard somewhere that he used to check into hotels under the alias Slappy White (an old comic himself I believe) and in my infinite wisdom chose the alias slapwhitey as a bit of an homage. In hindsight probably not a wise choice but it has stuck. I even got an email from Disney.com one day saying that I was banned from there site.....while digging a little deeper I found out it had to do with my username. Sorry for the long, convoluted explanation but just wanted everyone to know for sure that I don't want to slap whitey's....just a silly Seinfeld reference...sorta.

This is a very cool thread.

When I was growing up my father's nickname was Moon, taken from the cartoon strip Moon Mullins. My friends started calling me Big Moon and my younger brother Little Moon. My nickname has stuck for the most part throughout the years.

I am Tracey. Mine is My First Initial, Middle Initial, and My Last Name. Yes, My last name is COKE. And trust me I have heard it all over the years with variations using other popular beverage names...Tracey Pepsi, Dr Tracey Pepper, so you get the drift...

My name is Jon.

During our honeymoon at WDW I needed a hat and the only one I could find that would fit my head was a safari hat from Animal Kingdom. I have worn that hat for 10 years and purchased another for during our 10th anneversary trip last year. It has become part of me and part of my disney memories. That is why I am safarihatguy.

Too cool!! My brother got a safari hat at disneyland when he was about 13 and wore the thing to death! Thanks for bringing back some good memories!
