My real name is Kim, one of the many . Back in 2001 DH found the DIS and convinced me that I needed to join and read up on the funny people debating pool hopping on the DVC board. Well, I couldn't think of a screen name, so he came up with it, DS name and the year he was born. At the time Jack (now 10) was only 2 and DD was not even a twinkle in anyone's eye. I had no idea that the Dis would become such an addiction for me, or that my second child would ask, "where's my name, mom??" Poor child, doesn't #2 always get shafted?

My original AOL screen name from the 90's was Mainegirl1, but I think that was taken here when I tried it. Again, nothing I created, just where I grew up.

ROFL! It's funny how we could have a two syllable name, yet our families would shorten it to "Lor". I used to hear "LOR!" whenever a family member wanted me to come to whatever room they were in, since they were too lazy to come to me! And back in the day before we had a TV with a remote control, "LOR!" would be my cue to change a channel. I was such an obedient child...but that changed quickly.
