"Screech" mooching from fans....

Well according to what he said on Howard Stern's show, I don't know how many women would be interested. BIG, BIG, BIG. That's all I have to say. And not in a good way (at least to me).

Anyway, he's an idiot. I wanted to reach through my Sirius receiver and slap him around.

GET A REAL JOB!

I heard him on Howard also......so i KNOW what you are talking about when you say BIG! eeewwww. instead of selling t-shirts maybe he should be doing some "movies" to promote what a "large" star he is :rotfl2:

i think Artie may have added him to one of his stand up shows so he can get some $$. :sad2:

I'm still puzzled by what everyone is so offended about. He's selling t-shirts. So what? How is this substantively any different than a stand-up comic selling CD's (he's a comic now)? They're hawking products for a buck. I bet Screech even has comedy CD's, if he's interested in making a buck. How would a guy who was cast as a joke, and obviously could not act, transform himself into a serious adult actor, or even a comedic one? He has a schtick, and he's sticking with that, with the t-shirts. Maybe it's pathetic, but that Screech character was pathetic to begin with. I'm not sure what people expect out of something like that. Selling t-shirts to make a buck sounds perfectly within the milieu of someone like that.

And I can't believe someone posted above that T.A. Thiessen was on 90210, as a defense of her acting ability! Is that for real? I know she was on 90210, but I'd NEVER use that as a positive thing in an acting resume. Most of the people who were on that show, as on Saved by the Bell, run away from any mention of that, now that they want to move on to adult careers. 90210 was as bad as Saved by the Bell. If either 90210 or Saved by the Bell was on my acting resume, and I'm an adult looking for work, believe me: those lines would be whited out.

I guess Elizabeth Berkley's soft core porn career is more dignified than Screech selling t-shirts. :confused3

Hey, if he can sell the product, then he's earned the money.

I like it when he calls the guy's bosses and asks him why they are treating a "famous celebrity" like this. :thumbsup2
I don't want to know what you guys are referring to as "big" from his Howard Stern show. But I think I do. And are we supposed to take his word for this? And how did this come up in a conversation about his house? You must mean his ego, or his idea of his place in the world. Right, that's it! :thumbsup2

I also heard him on Howard. And unless he is going to whip it out and show me, I don't believe him. :rotfl2:

He is opening up for Artie in Pittsburgh at $1000 a show. How does a foreclosure work? Is the $250k how much he is in arrears? Why doesn't he sell the house if he can't afford it?

I dont find it pathetic at all. Its like anyone else selling some type of souviner or memorabillia to make a buck. I would much rather see him trying to sell t-shirts that reflect on his early days, than him goin to rehab, in jail, or worst. Im sure he would have no problems selling the shirts. Reruns of Saved by the Bell still play regularly.

What is pathetic is that I ran into him quite some years ago at the movies. He actually went in to see the same movie I did. No big whup right? Except the movie was "Showgirls" with his former castmate Elizabeth Berkly. EWWWW! He paid money to see all her naughty bits. That just icked me out.

LOL. You paid the same money to see her "naughty bits" - and you weren't even supporting a friend.

He was in a Land Contract - which pretty much means that he was doing a 'rent to own' kinda thing on the house. From what I understand, the contract was up and he needed to come up with a loan to cover the rest of the value of the house.

He tried to get a loan from this company in NY and they blew him off so the contract came due and he needed to pay the 250K immediately. The house is most likely worth more than that - like $300k or some such.

I read about loan shysters doing this on MSN the other day. Basically it was 'if it seems like it's too good to be true, it probably is' and if you don't see copies of the paperwork assume it's not been filed.

His parents really screwed him over and basicly left him broke and went through about 17 million of his money. They were able to get around the "Jackie Coogan law" and blow his earnings http://www.minorcon.org/history.html

Thats terrible what gary colemans parents did to him. Today the Coogan law takes a mandatory 15% out of each actor childs paycheck and puts it in an account for the child (to protect them from their parents getting at it) I still don't think 15% is enough to take out, I personally wouldn't mind it if they took out more to protect kids whose parents do use their kids money to live on, and I know some of them.

The only reason i think people may say this is kind of "pathetic" is because he actually came out and said--- i need money or i will loose my house. and that is the reason he needs the work and is selling shirts etc.

maybe he should have been a bit more discreet-- maybe some think its no different than someone asking for money on the street! :confused3

who knows.......actually now i think about it.......i dont really care! :rotfl2:

Ah, but the difference is that I never worked with her, she wasn't one of my coworkers. Even if it was to support Ricky, my file clerk, there is no way I would pay to see his naughty bits.
