ok so my mom is watching this baby. i'm pretty sure shes 5 months old, and already seems to have that seperation anxiety from her mom. from the moment her mom dropped her off she began screaming. she cried herself to sleep. when she woke up, from about an hours nap, she started back up with the crying. we rocked her, we bounced her, we did just about everything! but we've discovered its not a "i need something" cry, she's just mad and wants her mom. so anyone have a suggestion? ever had a child like this while babysitting or as a sibiling? please help! :headache:

Is she hungry or does she need her diaper changed. Also, babies can sense things. So calm down, and just hold her close.

Sorry, she's not a happy camper! :(

But from what I can remember at that age, they are teething. Maybe she's having gum pain? Try a cold washcloth or something that may sooth it. Or, is she gassy? Babies get really upset when it hurts. A way to know is if you lay her down, and her legs are scrunched up to her belly.

Or....maybe she's just crying? Its babies only way of communication. The last thing I can think of is, she just needs alot of comforting, and reassurance.

Anyways, I hope you figure it out soon!

she might be crying to hear herself cry. from the moment my mom took me home from the hospital, i cried until i learned to talk. then i stopped. maybe she just wants to talk to you. (i would be sitting and playing with toys and screaming and crying)

I just got done baby sitting some one and they cried the whole time to and when the mother got here she said that she cries for hours before she get constopaded. so that could be it!?!?!
