Does anyone know if they sell 12X12 disney scrapbook albums on the ship? Or am I better off buying one in the parks? Do you know prices also?

Yup, they sell the 12x12's as well as stickers and filler 12x12 pages. I bought mine on our July '04 cruise. Sorry can't remember the $$, but they were reasonable. I doubt you'd pay any more or less at Michaels, Hobby Lobby or other scrapbooking store.

I bought the album. It come with 12x12 paper in white and primary colours, 15 page protectors and a nice pocket page for loose papers/Navigators etc. I also bought the "2004 DCL Scrapbook Kit" that had:
1 sticker sheet,
6 designed paper sheets,
4 solid colour sheets (primary),
3 sheets of adhesive backed shapes(die cuts)
4 paper frames, and
1 sheet of border stickers.

I also bought extra Disney stickers.

Hold on, found some $$; sticker sheets; $3, alphabet stickers $5, scrapkit $15, If I remember the scrapbook was either $20 or $25.

Something to think about with the scrapbook. Buy the book or paper pages early. Then, when you go to get character photos, take a scrap page and have the character sign the page. We also had our servers sign a page. Have tablemates or friends you meet or CM you enjoyed sign pages too! Then when you add thier pictures you have their autograph and a nice comment or two from them too!

We had no shortage of scrapbook stuff on board and our cruise was FULL!! I bought mine on Thursday night (I think). Still plenty on the shelves.

HTH!!

I guess I should have mentioned...

The scrapbook i got on board is DCL specific. It is a nice royal/navy blue with "Disney Cruise Line 2004 Scrapbook" emblazoned on the front and a nice stylized picture of the Magic/Wonder on the back. If you want "generic" Disney scrapbook you may be better off looknig at WDW. However some of the stickers I bought on board were WDW specific stickers (park logos etc.)

Okay, I think *that* answered your questions.

Diane - again!

The scrapbook onboard was $28 in June and the extra packet of supplies was $15. Keep in mind, the scrapbook is not expandable. You could probably add posts to make it wider, but the actual binder will not expand. I think you might need more than one scrapbook if you are going on a 7 day or longer cruise.

I had been reading your thread on the Disney scrapbook, I also bought the 12x12 blue Disney book on our 7 day June cruise. I had not done a book like this one before, always used Creative Memories, but was able to purchase extra pages and plastic covers at the scrapbook nook.
The book is full and the pockets in the back hold the Navigators. But the book needs a little more room to close nicely.
Hadn't thought of looking for extentions or extra long posts to make it close better.
Thanks for the idea:wave:
I also plan to video every page of the book and place in on a CD. This way the book stays preserved longer.

Can't wait to go back! I sure do miss the Magic!

Thanks for all the info everyone. I'm so excited to work on this scrapbook even though our trip is so far away. The ideas were absolutely awsome. I would have never thought of taking the pages with for autographs. Thanks again.

Sounds like a great idea! I hadn't thought of videotaping each page. I won't be cruising on DCL again until probably November 2005, so I'm hoping that they will have new scrapbooks by then that have an expandable binder!

By the way, a friend of mine just gave me the cute little 7X7 CM Disney scrapbook. It is too cute! It would be perfect for a short trip.
