which stores in wdw sell scrapbooking papers and embellishments? any you would recommend over others?

You will find some stuff at each of the large stores, but your best bet is World of Disney at DTD or Memories at DTD. Please don't go in expecting a huge amount of stuff. If so, you will be disappointed. They do have several scrapbooking kits available and some embellishments. Most of the embellishments they carry can be found at many scrapbooking store, Michaels and JoAnn's.

There really isn't to much scrapbook stuff...but the World of disney at DTD has some disney character punches...you see them occasionally at other stores but they have them all together there...That's the best tool that I've found at Disney...

IMHO- No Flames Please. I have found better quality scrapbook stuff (Including Paper!) at our local Scrapbook Store

I know I was disappointed in the amount of disney scrapbooking supplies when we were there in 2006 ( DTD was about the only place I could find any at all) . As the above poster pointed out most of the supplies I could find at JoAnns or Hobby Lobby for less. That being said I did buy a great castle hole punch at DTD. And I love it.

Check your local dollar store too. I was amazed at how much FANTASTIC disney stuff I have found there.

Some of the best scrapbooking items are free. I collect park maps, times guides, barf bags from Mission Space, napkins, stickers given to us by castmembers, etc. etc. etc.

Mrs U is now heavily into scrapbooking and we were just talking about this very subject a few weeks ago. Sounds like Disney is really missing the boat on this. If they tried they could probably offer things that no one else would (or could) have.

I made a special trip to DTD just to go to mouse Memories but it really wasn't worth it. they had all the kits and albums that you can find in the resorts or parks but a few punches and such. which, i would not have purchased there anyways. but all the exclusive albums, postcards, kits i ended up getting at the value resorts,. I also found MouseGears in Epcot had a nice selection of stuff.

I found the best supplies at the resorts (still not much). The DTD story was pretty sorry if you ask me. They have so much Disney at the big craft chains now, that I get my supplies there. It helps that my DD work at Joann's. I also have the Cricut with the Disney cartridges, so I make some of my own embellishments. I did some Mickey head eyelets a few years ago that were pretty cool.

I was very disappoint at the stuff they had. The only thing I bought was a scrapbook with a christmas design on it. As I have never seen them at the chain stores. Maybe if there are any scrapper who just came back they can tell us what there was there to buy.

ooh didn't realise there was a scrapbooking forum..... i wish we had scrapbooking stores here in the UK. yes we have craft stores - but they're pretty small and i haven't seen any disney merchandise (well a few stickers, but nothing spectacular). guess i'll have to just see what i can find.... or start browsing online... what i'm really after is character/ride/park 12x12 papers.

They have a 40 page spiral bound book of 12 x 12 papers that cover all of the parks. They aren't really ride specific, but there are papers themed to each of the 4 major parks. Then there are packages of 12 x 12 papers, borders, and stickers that are general Disney theme, and some are year-specific. There's also a box of 4 rolls of stickers, one roll for each of the parks. I found these at the Memories store at DTD and at Mousegear at Epcot.

If you have a rental car, head to Michaels or Joann's and buy your stuff there. It's better, more of it and cheaper

And www.mousememories.com has a store near Orlando too. Or you can order on line, not sure if they do international shipping but it's worth a shot.

If you are not planning a day at DTD, then skip it. You can find just about everything in the parks and resorts.

If you need anything specific I'm sure one of us can point you in the right direction. We have a few other girls here that are in England so I know they can help too.
