I want to start 1 or 2 subscriptions to scrapbooking magazines. Memory Makers, Simple Scrapbooks, Creating Keepsakes or Scrapbooks Etc are my main choices right now. Which of these are your favorites? Any ones to recommend or to stay away from? Also, if there is one you love I didn't list please let me know!

Where have you found the best deals for these subscriptions? I looked on their individual websites, but I didn't know if there were better deals to be found?

Thanks so much!

It depends on your style, but I like Scrapbooks Etc. I'm a simpler type of scrapper (less embellies) and there are good ideas in there that dont' seem too overwhelming for me.

If you want a good deal, try Ebay. I got a sub to Memory Makers and Simple Scrapbooks combined for like $20.

PaperKuts is a great one. Especially if you're more on the simpler side of scrapping.

There is a new scrapbook magazine coming out this month. Scrapbook Answers. It is supposed to be a more fresh, modern take on scrapping. Lots of layouts with specific instructions on how to do them. Discussions on new tools & products (both digital & traditional).

The editor is one of my best friend's good friends. Check out their website or look for them in stores in September.

Of course, I'm a CMC, so I have to plug the CM Magazine, Lasting Moments too!

I'm a big fan of Simple Scrapbooks (my first published layout will be in the January 2006 issue). I also really like Scrapbooks, etc.

woo hoo!! congrats! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

I get Simple Scrapbooks and Creating Keepsakes....some of the stuff in CK is just too over-the-top for me though... it's still fun to look!

I like creating keepsakes and memory makers. I have a subscription for paperkuts but I don't like it. Just not for me. I do like the one that better homes and gardens puts out too but I only get it on occasion. You might want to go to your LSS or bookstore and just look through the magazines and see which one hits your fancy.

i subscribe to :

creating keepsakes
simple scrapbooks
paperkuts
scrapbook etc.

i also buy scrapbook trends from my lss...

if you sign up for creating keepsakes newsletters, they send out emails for deals on their magazines...that was how i got mine...

here is a good deal on scrapbooks etc...

scrapbooks etc deal

i think that was how i got mine.

i am a relatively simple scrapper...my style is that of simple scrapbooks, scrapbooks etc. and paperkuts. i get ck just to see all the neat stuff...

i would reccomend the first 3...as those are my fav mags.

I subscribe to Simple Scrapbooks and Creative Keepsakes. Simple Scrapbooks is my favorite by far and I recommend it often to people who want to know what this scrapbooking thing is about. It is very newbie-friendly and advocates a simple, uncluttered style that I like.

I really like Lasting Memories and BH & G's Scrapbooks etc. They have some great L/O ideas as well as a great use of bright colored paper which I LOVE!!

I subscribe to Scrapbook Trends and PaperKuts. I love them both. I find that the ideas are great and there are not pages and pages of advertisements. I do not like Creating Keepsakes for that reason and instead i just buy in at the newstand if I like the articles on the cover.

I subscribe to Simple Scrapbooks, Paperkuts and Scrapbooks, ect and I love them all! I really love Simple Scrapbooks as it is completely my style of scrapping! :)

I subscribe to:

Creating Keepsakes
Paperkuts
Simple Scrapbooks

I usually buy Scrapbook, Etc and Memory Makers when the new ones come out. My least favorite is Simple Scrapbook and I think I am going to let that subscription run out.

I think it definately depends on your style as to which magazine will suit you best. I have noticed alot of the Australian based magazines showing up at Walmart, Booksamillion and Barnes and Noble.
