Apparently I am a posting queen today (I should be organizing...haha)

I wanted to share an accordian scrapbook that I just completed for a friend of mine!

It requires a back-story....She is a 4th grade teacher in a city school and she has her class make "Flat Stanleys". They send them out to friends/family around the world and the receiver is supposed to write back, take pictures of Stanley, and send them back. She has a bulletin board ready for all the Stanleys and a map of where they've been.

This one student didn't have anyone to send his Stanley to...and since she knew we were doing a quick trip to the World (this past Nov.) she asked if we could help....being me, I couldn't just write a letter (although I did, explaining that I like to scrap and that Flat Stanley and I were crafting a book for them..and I sent them some mysterious pics from our trip...like one on the safari, one with a suitcase at the airport, and one from the World Showcase) so we made a book! It is finally done and ready to mail with some Disney chocolate coins. This may be these kids' only chance to see Disney, so I had a bit of fun.

Love your Flat Stanley book. What a great host family you were. When we mailed Stanley to our arranged host family, it was left in mail pile somewhere. We had a very upset 2nd grader. Great job!!

Love it!!! DS9's Flat Stanley made his way around the US a few years ago thanks to the DIS Aunties. I need to do his album.

I made my DS10 a Flat Stanley album!!!
He got his first haircut with the Blink family!!!
He went to Disney too with DIT's family!
He went to RI w/ Holly's family..

Those are his adventures off the top of my head!

I love the pull out photo pages and the fact that Stanley is all decked out in his Mickey attire!!!!

Oh my goodness, that is so cute! I love how he got his own KTTW card and got to ride in the parade! Amazing, and such a great thing to do

I still can't believe we were in the parade! We were only there for 3 days and still experienced extra Magic....if we weren't hooked on Disney before (we totally were), we are now (probably obsessed).

He didn't see it yet...I plan to give it to his teacher to share with the class this weekend for school next week....I'll let you ladies know how the class reacted!

You should see the game I made for the World Showcase...I gave them a list of the 11 countries that are represented in the WS....on the back of each picture is a list of clues about the country...including continent, climate, surrounding bodies of water, capital, etc. I numbered each picture. There is a pile of envelopes that are numbered. Once they've made their guess on what country is represented in the picture, they find the envelope with the matching number to see if they are correct!

Basically...I have too much time on my hands this week. LOL

Often you hear there are times when a child has a teacher who truly changes their life, in this situation it appears to be a teacher that the child may never meet. What an impression your flat Stanley album is going to make! Great job!

What a great album full of memories and fun. I did something similar with Pal Mickey in all different locations around the world! You did an absolutely amazing job on it. Thank you for sharing!!
