Just went to Kidsfont and found all kinds of Mickey fonts. I downloaded them into Word and now would like to print. Thing is, I'd like to create a mirror image of the letters from word 2000. Does anyone know how to do that?

You can do this by using wordart. Click on insert, then picture, then wordart.

This will bring up a galary. A shadow one will probably be the one that is third row across and third one down. It is shown as green. Click on it and then click ok.

Your next screen will be "Edit wordart text". Pick your font, size, and text as you want displayed.

Click ok when you are done. It will then be inserted on your page. There will be a wordart text box that displays so you can edit your text or change the galary. You can also click on your phrase on the page and right mouse click. Pick format wordart and you can change the colors. Be sure to change the line color if you change the fill color.

If you change a color, try this one.

Click on dropbox next to fill color. Click on fill effects, then gradient. Then put a dot next to preset and change the preset color to rainbow. I like those colors. Or you can do two colors like black & red.

Hope this helps. If I confused you, let me know!

Ooohhh Thanks Tracey - just gave this a try and it works lovely :)

Could you tell me how you can get the shadow to be rainbow too ~~ if it's possible? :)

Thanks

**Look for a layout by me fairly soon with this new colour scheme! LOL ;)

Sorry to say but I don't think the shadow will change to rainbow. I've even tried different patterns that have smaller/different shadows.

Actually, I guess if it's a shadow, it shouldn't really be colored. Shadows are normally black or a faded color. Just like a human shadow is an outline of ones self.

Please be sure to post your layout. I'd love to see it...

Oh well - thanks anyway :)

I guess it might be the right opportunity to try out my chalks that have been sitting in the box unused for a couple of months now?

LOL ;)

Will let you know once it's done - might be a couple of weeks yet, got so many in the pipeline at the moment :)

etwinchester: Thanks for the response. I was amazed to find all the different stuff you can do. However, I think I didn't state my original question very well, and think it was misunderstood. I wasn't looking for a shadow image; I was looking for a reverse image for each letter. So that I could print on colored paper and it would give me the letters backwards. Then when cut out and turned over, the outline of the letters wouldn't show and the letter would be facing the way it should be. Is this making sense? Is there a way to do it?

Hi GrammieMame

Not wishing to interfere - but yes you can do what you want - that is exactly what I do for some of my lettering too.

I use WordArt still - as Tracey explained before, but I use the very first option when the screen opens. (First box, top line) This option is just an outline lettering.

I then type my text, then choose the font and size to suit my needs and then click ok.

I then click somewhere within the text - till the Wordart box comes up again, then along to the left on the bottom Menu Bar, there is a Draw option. I click on this and then you have a small menu with a Rotate or Flip option. Click on Flip Horizontal and there you have your text backwards. I stretch the text to fit the size I want to print and then just print and cut with my Xacto knife.

Hope this helps - it really is easy once you've done it once or twice.

:)

Janice: You're a STAR. How in the heck do you learn all this stuff?Anyhow, this Board is a fantastic resource and thank you very much for the help.

:) You're very welcome :)

I took a course in Computer Skills some time ago which helped with the basics - and I fiddle.................I will click on something to find out what happens! LOL

...............but I also write everything down in plain and simple terms so that I can understand, print if off and pin it all on my notice board here in my office. But I keep it all in word so that I can share any tips I pick up on the way. I have picked up untold amounts from Bev too - she is great with helping out.

:)

Thanks so much for this information!! I love using these new Mickey fonts I have on my computer now!!! Too cool!!! :)
