I have been using 12 x 12 albums (done about 7 so far) from Hobby Lobby, they are expandable with posts. Although they are 12 x 12 I have to cut about 1/4"- 1/2" off the cardstock for it to fit in, so they are not a true 12 x 12. I just assumed all albums were like that.

Well, this past trip to WDW I bought a Disney album, I want to scrapbook all of our trips to Disney World. Well, it came with about 12 pages in it, and when I went to add more I realized that their pages are a true 12 x 12, therefore they don't match.

My question is....are most refill pages a true 12 x 12, do I just need to purchase them somewhere other than Hobby Lobby? Will I be able to find 12 x 12 pages that match?

I'm not sure how much help this will be, but here's what I did. I bought an album from WDW (I have several different ones from different trips). I took it to my LSS (it has since closed), and she measured the page protectors to tell me what would be the right ones/size. She recommended the Pioneer brand page protectors because they were the right size. I bought them at Hobby Lobby, and they have matched all of the pages I have had in my books so far.

I hope that helps! :thumbsup2

I know what you mean, I've been using Creative Memories for years but bought Memory Stor which has true 12 x 12 pages, they top load and books are post expandable. I bought 2 leather one's with front windows at Costco for $15 and the refill pages were 50 for (I think) $13-$15.

So you got the refill pages at Costco too? Thanks, I don't have a costco in town, but I'll check where there is one close. And Stitchisourhero, I'll check Hobby Lobby for the pioneer brand. Although my Hobby Lobby scrapbook aisles are closed off right now, they are reorganizing.

Thanks for the heads up. I always bought my page protectors from Close to My Heart, but was just about to buy some at my local craft store. I'll be sure to check that they are true 12x12. I can't believe they sell page protectors that aren't. What a pain to have to cut every page!

CM sell "Perfect fit" pages which match their (almost) 12x12 pages, and of course their page protectors fit the pages. I'm scared of other brands :guilty:
I did buy a 8x8 post album but I don't like it, and can't decide whether to e-bay it or send it to the school Christmas bazaar

I've been using the Colorbok "Perfect Scrapbook" refills and albums, and they are incredibly inexpensive and true 12x12. I work in those books, and now I'm transfering the pages into my Disney albums as I organize the finished pages. The JoAnn's sale that ends today had all scrapbooks 50% off, so I got several of them for less than $8 each. The refills are regularly priced at $4.99 for 10 protectors, but they have been on sale for $2.99 each and come with the post extenders as well.

So far, I've found them inexpensive and great for my "work book".
