Scrabooking newbie-album/page question

I bought the 8.5X11 scrapbook from WDW (black with Tink's face under a plastic bubble in the center, says Walt Disney World in shiny letters). I have some of the same size scrapbooking paper, cutout, etc sets from WDW as well. I have my photos picked out. Now....how do I begin? The pages in the Tink book are solid black and held in by what looks like 3 screw type things. Do I scrap a page outside the book, then unscrew the book apart and punch holes to get it in? Or, do I paste a whole WDW backround paper onto the black page that is already in the book? Or do I have to use the black paper in the book as my primary backrund, and just use the the WDW paper as decoration, border, etc? I'm obviously a newbie! Thanks!

Aa far as how you layout a page - use the black background, wallpaper, mat a photo with paper or cardstock that is up to you and part of the fun. You may want to check out some of the thinks some of the scrappers here have (sorry I don't) to books they have done. There are more idea links under one of those top - FAQ threads.

As for the technical question I have to admit I am stumped. Did the album come with plastic page protectors? Generally books are one of two formats - strap hinge which are heavy cardstock pages with metal edges (jeeping) that connect inside the spine. However, you mentioned posts which suggests this is a post bound book and usually those have solid acid free plastic pages with an opening at the top that the finished page slips into. You can then use any color cardstock that you purchase from a scrapbook or craft store (just make sure it is acid free) as your base.
