Scouts camping at FW

Has anyone ever taken a group of scouts to DW? We would like to plan a camping trip for our Cub Scouts (they will be second year Webelos) for August 2002.Does anyone have a contact number at DW? I know the programs are for Boy Scouts but can these programs be adapted to older Cub Scouts?Looking for any program info that you have. HELP!!!

Yes there are programs geared to cub scouts. You need to go to Disney.com and search for Youth Programs. The Y.E.S. programs will come up. There are many things offered. Tell the group CM exactly what you want. They do not volunteer information as freely as you would think. There are discount tickets, food programs and special events. The phone number is:
1-800-327-2989. Make plans early and get your parents on board with the trip from the beginning(I Know what it takes I am bringing 55 Girl Scouts and their famlies) Start FUND RAISING NOW!! The trip is costing us ove 25,000.00. I should mention that we are flying and staying in hotel rooms not camping which is alooooot cheaper/ GOOD LUCK!! Thanks jojr I called and they are sending me the package. We are planning to camp at FW as this is our favorite way to go. We are going in Aug 2002 and have already started fund raising. Thanks again, I can't wait.

I'm the cubmaster here in my Pack, and would love to hear updates on how your planning is going. I didn't realize Disney offers discounts for groups like Scouting. I think it would be great to get my Webelos dens next year to work on a trip. Even if it meant driving out there...the camping at FW is supposed to be awesome.

I have been coordinating and planning a camping trip to Fort Wilderness for 36 kids and 14 chaperones. We are going April 27th to April 29th, 2001.

We do not plan to go to the theme parks, instead we are utilizing the amenities at the campground only.

We have even planned a "scavenger hunt" so that the kids will be more aware of what is available to them.
