I know the parks are obviously a lot busier during English holidays, but can any fellow Scots (or anyone that's been at that time) tell me how busy the parks usually are during our holidays? Thanks

Don't know about Easter hols but October the parks didn't feel too busy and the waiting times for rides were quite short. I met more people from Dundee than I would normally meet on the high street though:rotfl2: Standing in queue for crepes someone came over and asked if I was kevs sister in law, going on haunted mansion heard my name being shouted up the path the list goes on and on.................My mum said can we not go anywhere without you knowing people!

I am from Edinburgh and was really surprised that we managed to get as much done as we did considering some of the English were on half terms as were the French!!!!

The only way we could have got more done would have been if my son had been taller :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks. What time of year did you go?

I would definately recommend October. Halloween theming is fantastic and the atmosphere was great. We have been the last 2 years at halloween and the weather has been good. Tshirts during the day and jumpers at night.

Thanks. I'm really struggling to make my mind up between September over DD's birthday when we can make use of the 40% off but the kids will need to take time off school. Or October over DS's birthday when it's more expensive, but no need to miss school.:confused3

:rotfl: I'm getting a bit ahead of myself eh? OH still hasn't agreed to it at all yet, but he's definitely warming to the idea, I can feel it :lmao:

I'm thinking Disney must be struggling to get bookings or something because of the recession. Maybe thats why we're seeing big discounts:confused3 I read somewhere on the web that more people are booking holidays at home and less are going abroad/disney because of exchange rates. If so perhaps more offers will come out for other times:confused3 I'm thinking of booking flights and leaving hotel till later for october to see what discounts will be available. We all have AP so may even go off site if the price is better (although I don't really want to do this)

I don't think I would even consider a UK holiday. Before we booked our first trip to DLP I looked into a caravan holiday at Haggerston Castle and Butlins thinking it would be cheaper but it was even more expensive than DLP :confused3 :scared1: . Even with the exchange rate, it's very similar prices and I certainly know which I'd prefer ;)

Hope you're right though, just wish the flight prices would come down for Air France. They're getting more expensive instead. Considering Easy Jet or Ryanair, but with Ryanair there's all the other charges and extra travelling and Easyjet has rubbish flight times from Edinburgh.
