By my own admission I've only seen otters once, and that was off the shore of the old Discovery Island back in 2007. Friends of mine that are wintering on the 1700 loop have actually had otters run through their site!! The otters were headed to a drainage culvert back in 1900 that leads to the canal.

Those devilish otters!! They know I'm always on the look-out for them, but do they pay homage to their leader? Oh, heck no!! In October, I had 11 turkeys and one Donnie cut through my site on 1800.

I have seen otters many time at DTD & (thanks to Magicbus) in a drainage pond next to the Hess Station at DTD. Maybe your kids will have more luck than I.
