Scored a couple of neat ADRs...

When I talk about it to my fam their eyes glaze over and they nod and smile, they don't get it like my disser buds will

First is Crystal Palace, at 6:40pm on a MNSSHP night. Didn't even realize it til I was checking park hours. That'll be kind of fun bc by the time we're done eating, the party will have begun and we can check out cool costumes on our way out, and get a sneak peek of what goes on at the party to boot.

Second, Rose n Crown at 7:30 pm, suhweeet! I figure we'll still be there for when Illuminations starts.

We'll be there Oct 6-11. My husband won this trip-they're putting us up at the Grand Floridian! I can't WAIT! We've only been once, last year, and we stayed in Downtown Disney, so this will be a real treat! I've heard such good things about MNSSHP! Can't wait! I bought Woody pjs and hats and Wood's gun belt for both my boys, so that's their costume! We can get back to the hotel and crash-in their costumes! Did I mention I can't wait?!!

Well it definitely wasnt a hiccup because NOW I was able to secure a spot at 6:15pm....has anyone eaten here recently...? good bad?

I like late dinners at Cali grill. Just don't plan to be up for rope drop in the morning! LOL! Ok, maybe that's just us, we like to drink a nice bottle of wine (Or two) when we dine there.......

It's not a buffet...for lunch it's a sandwich/counter service place, but for dinner they call it a table-service and it's a set meal served family style...in fact, the exact same meal as they serve for dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern (which is where the food comes from, too.) So it's the turkey dinner... They only open Diamond Horseshoe during Free Dining and extremely busy times of year like major holiday weeks. Most of the year it's closed.

We've had the LTT dinner and found it just so-so - it was worth going when they had characters in the Revolutionary-patriot outfits, but since LTT lost the characters we've had no interest in going back. The meal was worth about $15 per person, maybe...certainly not worth a table-service credit, IMO.

Would be great if they went back to having a dinner show in the Diamond Horseshoe, that would be great fun. Would even tolerate the LTT turkey dinner for a show, lol.

OP - not to put a damper on your planning since you're so excited about it...but you might want to rethink your Crystal Palace dinner. Historically, they won't let you into the park on a MNSSHP night (even for a dinner res.) without a party ticket. I would at least call Disney Dining and ask...Maybe they've changed the rules.

If you aren't at Rose and Crown when Illuminations starts they will probably still allow you to view it from their patio. My husband and I ate there last year but could only get 5 pm reservations. Our waitress told us what time to come back and to mention her name at the patio. We were front row on the patio and it was amazing!
