In reviewing My Cruise info on the DCL site, I noticed my cabin number has been changed. We paid for a Cat10 (gotta have that split bathroom) as I opted for cheaper and no verandah this trip, but we are now listed in a Navigator, which happens to be our favorite! We'll know Saturday for sure when we check in, but it looks good!

That is AWESOME I was just curious....had you checked your reservation online before and been assigned a cat.10 stateroom number, then you just checked again and they had changed your stateroom assignment? Did your documents have your "old" stateroom number on them?

M&M, good questions, I hadn't even thought of my cruise docs until you mentioned them. My docs show cabin 1045 --- yes, there really are cabins on the first deck. I recall looking for cat. 10's and the choices were fairly limited. I kept trying to get moved up to a cat10 on deck 5, but to no avail. I can't tell you if my old cabin# ever showed on the DCL web site, because I only accessed it for the first time two days ago and it was already showing the navigator cabin. It sure surpised me. This is our first upgrade out of five cruises. I was once offered to downgrade from a 7 to a 10 for 1/2 the price of our cruise, but by the time I got the message and called back they didn't need me any more.

Make sure that you call DCL - so that they can confirm your new room number. You'll need to change it on your luggage tags - just use a Black Permanent Marker.....

Wow!!!Awesome...Congratulations! We all secretly hope for that upgrade. All of us the book the lower categories that is. I never heard of anyone being asked to downgrade for 1/2 price. Interesting..........Enjoy your trip and congratulations again!!
