Any suggestions for scooter rentals at Nassau?
Is there a company that will bring the scooter to the port? If not which is the closest location to the port? I'm not looking to do a lot of walking. We want to rent the scooter so we can do quick and easy shopping.

Hopefully no recommendations as scooters are a terrible idea .... a GREAT way to find yourself in the emergency room.

Even if you consider yourself an experienced rider, scooters or mopeds here are under powered in terrible condition and this is to be added to unfamiliar roads, driving on the left side of the road, tourists crossing streets ALSO not familiar with folks driving on the left, sand on the road making it more slippery than ice and and and .... let's not even mention tossing a beer or three into the equation.

recommendation? Don't do it. Everything you want to see in Nassau is within a couple of blocks anyway. Venturing out of the prime tourist area is not recommended.

the organization I worked for banned renting any form of 2 wheel motor vehicle by our crews due to the large number of serious accidents .... and we visit the islands routinely.

Boy, am I happy you wrote this! I will not be getting a scooter!

Now, see I read that as scooters (as in powered wheelchair). Not scooters as in a small motorcycle type vehicle.

Are you talking a scooter as in a two-wheeled less powered version of a motorcycle, or are you taking scooter as in an ECV (like this: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/ecv-rentals/), a 3 or 4 wheel electric vehicle to help people with mobility issues get around (as an alternative to, for example, a wheelchair)?
