Many of you have been to the fantastic pin talk seminars at the Expo Hall in the Magic Kingdom presented by Scoop Sanderson - the MK's " good will ambassador" and many of you have had the pleasure of meeting him on Main streeet in the MK. January 1st is his final pin talk - this appears to be a Disney decision. We will miss him -
As many of you may remember, last March 42 of my middle school students from Massachusetts, were guests at a 1 pm pin seminar. That day was the most wonderful , special day for so many of them. When i read Nat's posting today, i made the decision to let others know how integral Scoop is to Disney. Here is an exerpt from an email I sent to Scoop.
Nat has a posting on the DIS boards that your final pin talk is scheduled for Jan 1st. I am so sorry we will be unable to attend and help celebrate all you have done to promote not just pins but friendships! When my students and i attended your pin talk last March- all 42 of my students - you were most gracious to us. After all, all those 6th-8th graders whom had not heard of you before, sat mezmorized as you went through an explanation of pins, introduced us to the Mayor and the Dapper Dans, and then gave Debbie (Epcotkilterfan) her Scoop pin with us to cheer her on. It was a most exciting day for everyone and you made many converts, both to pins and to you, a most interesting man! My school group will be back this year, March 8-13th, and will watch for you on Main Street. We'll hope to stop and chat for a few minutes. Thanks for some wonderful memories. "Miss Caroline"
There must be Disney execs we can write to (ie. Lee Cockerell) to let them know how special Scoop is. Please help me by sending along any addresses we can write to. Thanks.
