Scooby and Shaggy at resort restaurants

I am planning a first trip to Universal in Sept. I read somewhere that Scooby can sometimes be seen at the resort restaurants. My son would LOVE to do a character breakfast or dinner with the Scooby characters, but I can't seem to find enough info on it. The website mentions that some of the restaraunts have characters on select nights, but doesn't tell you what characters. So do they change them randomly or are they always the same? If the same, which days can you see Scooby? And, how and when can I make reservations for this? Thanks in advance for your help.

You will need to call the hotels direct to find out which nights they have character dining and which characters will be present.
It varies.


Each hotel has a different night for character dining.
One hotel also has a magician night, or they did last year when i was there.

We have seen Scooby and Shaggy at Islands at RPR for the last 3 years.
It was always a wednesday, looking at their site it says Dr. Cadoo, but it said this last July as well but we got our pics took again with Shaggy and Scooby as they where there as well.

We also had dinner at RPR with Shaggy and Scooby. They were fantastic. The character interaction is incredible at the character meals. We have done the Spiderman with Dr. Suess characters for breakfast. Well worth it!!!

Thanks for your help. I guess I will be calling RPR when it gets closer to our travel time. Does anyone know how far in advance they take reservations? (for offsite guests)

You do not need reservations, we are there usually first 2 or 3 weeks in July, and have never made reservations. You could always make them on the day you want to eat there, but always plenty of tables available.

That is the coolest picture. Thank you for posting that. I am so excited about it now. My son will flip. Scooby is his absolute favorite right now. He will watch Scooby cartoons all day long if I let him. Thanks for posting.

You are welcome, Last July when we went in for dinner, there was only 5 tables with people at them , S&S must have sat and talked to us for 30 mins, as there was not many people there.

We shuttled from disney to Royal Pacific for a meal with scooby in Sept 2007. The food was fantastic and the character interaction was incredible! We didn't tell our kids ahead of time, so when they saw scooby they just about flipped out. I will say we were the only people in the restaurant until about the time we were done with our meal and then another family came in. I was worried they wouldn't bother with scooby and shaggy since nobody was there, but instead they spent almost our whole meal at our table.
