I don't understand why he and his parents need counseling - well unless it's to get over the trauma a bunch of ********* put them through. Yeesh!!!

Isn't that the truth. Great God, when we were in school we all made circuit boards with batteries, wires, light bulbs and little motors. Some were really elaborate. I guess it's a good thing for the scientific community that most schools have more common sense than this school has. What a bunch of idiots!

I could honestly see where the school would not necessarily have a policy in place. My school does not have some kind of policy about experiments brought from home. We leave that up to common sense, and common sense would tell me that this is not dangerous.

Exactly! Why couldn't a conversation ACTUALLY taken place between the student and the V. principal;

V.P: Johnny, what do you have here?

Johnny: I made a motion detector out of these things.

Duh!!!!!

No kidding. Not to mention it's a Magnet school geared toward TECHNOLOGY!!! Are you kidding me???
