I just made my ADR's yesterday and when making a reservation for Sci Fi at HS the CM said I couldn't request seating in one of the cars until the day I check in? Is this the new policy, because in past years they noted the request when I made the dining reservation. Just wanted to see if I needed to call back and speak to someone else or if this is the way it is now. Thanks

anyone with ADRs gets a car, if you're a walk in you get a table. you're all set. :)

I'm not sure if that is correct. We were a walk in and we got a car. Seemed like they gave tables to people who needed accomodations (babies, scooters, wheel chairs etc...) but we've only ever been that one time and it wasn't that busy.

I am sure the CMs at the SCI FI will make sure you get a car. The couple of tables in the back are for individuals who need special accomodations (wheelchairs, strollers, etc) on the off chance that a hostess brings you to one of the tables and not a car just politely ask for one. There is no need to specify you want a car on your reservations.

When you check in, just request a car and you'll get one as soon as it comes up. You might have to wait a few extra minutes, but if they are open you can get one.

I had ADR's and they asked if we wanted car or table when we checked in. They said they could seat us in a booth right away...since it was hot outside, and 5 of us, we took the table...and still kinda in a car. Either way, was good place for lunch. We were happy

I am so glad the OP asked this question, because we are eating here for the first time in Sept (DH had eaten here once, but it is a first for my girls and I) and I really would like to eat in a car, think that is part of the whole experience.

We went last Aug and when we checked in they asked which we wanted.... there was a longer wait for a car though (of course!)

When we were there in September, in the 5 minutes we waited we heard the host CMs tell three different families that people with reservations get a car automatically, people who walk in get a table or can choose to wait for a car instead.

We'll also be eating her for our 1st time this May... I had intentions on requesting a table! Can't wait to visit!

We do this every trip, we love the atmosphere. We have always just walked in and got a car, this year we made an ADR, because we are 3 this year and thought it might be harder to just walk in. You should be fine.

I wanted to clarify that we walked in and were assigned a car. We didn't ask for it. But again, it wasn't very busy at all. Interesting that ADR's are assigned cars. I guess we'll have a car in May cause we made an ADR for this restaurant.
