i am planning to eat at the sci-fi theatre in august--i am reading about the size of the cars--i have had a knee replacement and do not have too much flexibility in that knee--do you think i ill have a problem sitting in the cars--i am 6" 2

you might. dont' worry though cause I think I saw some tables in the back part of the restaurant.

Definitely not much room in the cars for n=knees like that (I have one too so I understand) Which knee is it? Every car we have been seated in opens on the left...my bad knee is my right...so there is no real room to stretch it out. If it is you left knee, you may be able to extend it right out of the car...they do have picnic style table in the back. These would be a little challenging for me to get into due to the knee, but definitely doable...let the cm at the front know your situation when you arrive.

Have fun!

When you check in at the front desk they'll show you photos of the different types of seating. In addition to the cars and the picnic tables, they have regular tables at the back of the restaurant. We sat in those and found it to have plenty of space.

It's a fun restaurant - great burgers, onion rings and shakes. Hope you enjoy it!

I would suggest asking to be setted at a table instead of the car. There is not a lot on room to stretch out in and I am only 5.5. I've never had a knee replaced, however I had had my left hip replaced (4 years ago) and I do sit in the car but by the time we get up and leave, I am very stuff and sore for about and hr later.

I'm a big tall guy, and I have a hard time fitting into the car booths at Sci-Fi Dine In. When we were there in January, I asked for a table car (with the standard chairs). We were told that even though we had a reservation, those tables were held for walk-ins and it would be a 45 minute wait. That was during the slow season on a slow day around 11:30-11:45am for lunch.

So if you require a standard chair, I'd suggest stopping by when they open and ask if they can hold a table car for your reservation time. I'm sure they'd try to work something out for you. Especially if you have a physical disability.
