Sci-Fi Reservations

I need Sci-Fi reservations for October 5th around 5:00pm. I already have a reservations for 5 people at 4:45pm and my parents will be with us. I went ahead and booked for 5 and I figured that maybe they would modify my reservation and add two people but have had no such luck yet. Any suggestions?

Do I just keep trying back and pray that someone cancels their reservation for around that time?

The problem is that a car hold 6 people...They have reserved you one full car because you have 5...To have 7 they will need to add one row on another car...Are there any very small people in your party to squeeze three in one row? Three children can fit if they are not at all big ...If so I would call to add one other person, then squeeze in the last when you get there...Do not just try showing up with the 7 or you will be split for sure...If you do not mind being split I would suggest making a different ADR just for your parents...There is a good chance they can get two in someone...There are even small tables in the back that are not table cars that they may be able to get a seat at...

You can keep trying but understand that you will not be in the same car...Sci Fi is not the best place for large parties because of that reason.

Wow....we'll be at Sci-Fi at the same time! We have reservations for October 5th at 5:35pm...maybe we'll see you!

I agree with the above. Nearly all the tables at Sci-Fi are for 6. You'd have a much better shot at getting a separate reservation for 2 than changing from 5 to 7.

Thank you so much for the advice! I think I will just keep checking back and see if I can get another ressie for 2.

Where else would you suggest? We already have ressie at Chef Mickeys, Tusker House, 50's Prime Time, Crystal Palace, Rainforest Cafe, and Trail's End restaurant for dinner. Does anybody have any other suggestions? My kids are 9,6 and 4. I am open to suggestions.

Hi! Another suggestion for a great character meal is at Cape May Cafe (Beach Club Resort). We had a wonderful time there last year. The breakfast was delicious and character interaction was very sweet and memorable. Probably our favourite of all the character meals we experienced. We like it there also because of the more relaxed atmopshere compared to places like Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey's. I highly recommend it!

Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge is great for families and large parties...Very simple food and a very fun atmosphere.

Liberty Tree Tavern in the MK for lunch or dinner...Also very family friendly...Lunch is a menu of simple American food that is done very well...Dinner is family-style Thanksgiving (no characters any more)...Now that there are no characters we actually like the lunch a bit more but dinner is good too...Nothing fancy but I wonderful American atmosphere.
