Sci-Fi Question

Hi, Was trying to book for two people at the Sci-Fi Resturant for late January/early Feb over a 7 day period but I cant seem get anything at all for any day. Is it normal to be so booked out this early for that time of the year?

It can be a tough reservation to get, but not that tough. My wife and I ate there Wednesday, and only made the reservation one month out. I would call if you haven't already. There could be any number of reasons they aren't showing up, including, but not limited to: system glitch, eclipse, hippo attack, Splash Mountain is down again and caused a wormhole in the space time continuum...

I have a lunch ADR for Feb 2, so they were out. I booked at the 180 day window.
It is one of the places that fills up fast.

Unfortunately, yes, Sci-Fi gets completely booked quickly.

But keep on the look out for when Disney adds things like the Dessert Parties and other events, because then some folks drop their reservations in favor of the new listings.

Reservations open at 180 days out to the day. Many avid planners log on that day to secure their reservations. Since the reservation window has been open for a while and it's a popular place, I'm not surprised it's booked up. That said, check back often! People constantly cancel, change plans, etc. We've had good luck with getting reservations eventually. Especially when it gets closer and people's plans change. Worst case, you can always stop by and try as a walk-up. Never hurts to try.

My last trip I just walked up to the check in at sci fi and asked to be put on a wait list and they ended up texting me 20 mins later that they had a table for me. This was just for a party of 2 but walk ups are possible at sci fi. That same trip in fact I only made one reservation and basically just looked on the app every night before I went to bed to make a ressie for the next day and most of the time several spots opened up at most places.

A walk up for a party of 2 is better than walk up for a party of 4-6. A party of 2 are usually assigned as 'hitch-hikers' in a car (back seat).

It can be tough, but you can keep checking and potentially do a touring plans reservation finder.

You might want to check again. I got a text from Touring Plans reservation finder and got a reservation for my November trip. After playing around with it, there are a TON of available reservations for Sci-Fi. Not sure where they have been locked up all this time...This just happened this afternoon.

4 of us walked up earlier this month at lunch and were seated within 10 minutes. Arrive close to opening.

We've gotten day of ADRs at SciFi multiple times, so reservations unquestionably open up!

Since Hollywood studios has no decent quick service it fills up fast. You can eat at sci FI for not too much more than quick service.

I don't know what is up with sci-fi. At 180 days there was only 1 time for 2:55. Once I got it there was no availability all day even for 2 people. This is for 11/30.
