Our kids are 15, 13 dd, 9 ,6,6, one girl 4 boys.
Do you get to sit in "cars" at both resturants ? We will be on the dining package as well.
Thanks

We enjoyed the Prime Time better. More bang for your buck as far as the meal. Sci Fi is cool, but so-so food and expensive. Go to Prime Time for your meal and Sci Fi for milk shakes? Your kids might not get the humor at PT, mine didn't. But DH and I enjoyed it.

The only time our family goes to Sci-Fi is for a snack (shakes and onion rings). The food at Sci-Fi is barely mediocre, although the atmosphere is fun. You do get to sit in "car-tables" at Sci-Fi, which is fun, too.

We like the food better at 50's PTC where you sit in replica 50's-style kitchens. The service is fun, too. But be prepared to clean your plate or no dessert!!

I'm not a fan of any of the restaurants at MGM, but it's easier to eat in this Park then leave and return.

50's Prime Time This seem to be the one restaurant we continually return to. Food is OK and you get a few laugh too.

Sci-Fi A fun place to stop at on a hot day, cool off have a quick drink, some fries or something light. It's fast food thats served at a table (oops in a Car)

The one place I do enjoy is the Starring Rolls Bakery for a quick bite.

I think 50's Prime Time is much better than Sci Fi. The food I had at Sci-Fi wasn't very good, but I did like the atmosphere there. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere at 50's Prime Time.

I would go with 50's Prime Time...you'll have a blast there and the food is pretty good as well.

Okay, I have to be the voice of dissent and vote for Sci Fi! We love the food there, we always stick to the burgers and chicken caesar salads. I love the quiet, relaxing atmosphere, the whole place, kids and adults alike are riveted to that movie screen. We have always had exceptional, fast service. We have eaten there for all five of our visits and never been disappointed. Prime Time's menu doesn't appeal to me and my husband would absolutely hate having to play along with the wait staff. Just us I guess.

We enjoyed the food at Sci Fi and really had a good time. However, Prime Time is a blast! If you have never been to either, I would try Prime Time first. It is a lot of fun, especially if you are willing to play along.

We had such a nice time (quiet, relaxing, good food, fun atmosphere) at SciFi that we ate there again 2 days later. The reuben, burgers, and onion rings were good. We also ate at Prime Time and really liked it as well. If you can, I would have lunch at SciFi and dinner at Prime Time. Make it an early lunch so you'll be hungry for dinner.

we like both places for different reasons

the sci-fi is great to cool off & relax in a dark, quiet setting - we get burgers, fries & onion rings here

the 50s is my DH favorite for the pot roast & fried chicken - much livelier here, too - bright, noisy, interactive

We have eaten at both on many occasions. I would highly recommend Prime Time for a meal (esspecially the fried chicken). Sci-Fi is fun but, I would save it for a dessert place. It is so dark, it is not enjoyable to eat your meal and if your group is larger than 2, you really can't have a conversation. It is a fun theme though.

We love them both!

Sci Fi is fun, and neat, but we only do lunch or dessert there. I would not use my Dining opt for this...I would pay oop. Yes you sit in the cars, and watch drive in movie clips. Some of the staff wear roller skates, and our kids really like it there.
We tried 50's Prime time for the first time last summer and it is our new favorite for a SIT DOWN dinner (in the parks). The food was pretty good...but the enviornment is what makes it so much fun. Just what ever you do...EAT YOUR VEGGIES! ;)

We are going back this June and we made our ressies for Sci Fi for lunch, and Prime time for dinner!

I guess I will be on the phone tonight changing my ADRs....we have an ADR made for a Friday night of SWW at Sci-Fi....we'll be on the Dining Plan (pretty sure) & from what it sounds like we should try 50's PrimeTime.

We've been to HollyWood & Vine...that was o.k.

What do you guys think...back to H&V or try 50's Primetime? Thanks!!

I think the food at Prime Time is better, and if you're in the mood for their antics, you'll have a blast.

I LOVE Sci Fi, though, it is one of my favorites for ambience and theming. I just sit back, get a drink with a glowing ice cube and I really feel like I'm at the World!!
