It will be me, DH & 2 DDs (4 & 2). We haven’t been to either and need advice regarding which to choose for lunch. Looking for recommendations/reviews.

Big fan of Prime Time. We have so much fun interacting with the waitresses.

I think the menu is your deciding factor. PrimeTime is diner food. SciFi is more Burgers and Fries. The seating is odd too. Menus can be viewed at allearsnet.com and look at the pictures. You may just opt for something with veggies for your kids, and a table where your all seating around a central table with children so small.

Sci Fi would be my first choice for atmosphere and I have always enjoyed the food here. I think your kids will love the Drive in atmosphere, Sci fi clips and cars that you eat in.

I do however love Prime time as well. We eat at both twice during our stay.

I couldn't chose last time I was there so we did 50s for an EARLY (11 I think) lunch and Sci Fi for a later dinner:)

Do you have the choice of sitting in one of the cars? It looks like there is, while limited, other seating. If we eat at Sci-Fi, it would to sit in the cars. Is there a chance we could be seated in a regular table or picnic table?

I'd say sitting in the cars is the rule not the exception.

Sci Fi definitely especially for lunch.

Great hamburgers, french fries and shakes!!

We tried Prime Time for dinner on our previous trip and it was just okay to us.

The last time we went to Sci Fi we sat at a table that had the front and the back of the car and the table in between the two. I think it seated six. We have been seated in one of the standard "cars" before but as I recall you can only sit two across (I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong ;) ). The food has not impressed me, but the movie clips are fun (sadly, I remember a lot of them :teeth: ).

If you choose to eat there, you can ask for a car table when you arrive for your ADR. You may want to get there a little early to make your request if it is important to you.

Prime Time is without a doubt one of the most annoying restaurants ever. I would not go back. Although Sci-Fi is pricey its fun.

We ate at both a few weeks ago. My sons are 6 and 8 and they enjoyed both. :thumbsup2

I vote for 50's Prime Time because of the ages of your DDs. :dogdance: It is extremely dark in Sci Fi Diner. Our sons sat in front of us and I was not able to help them with their food (which was ok at their age). I think Sci Fi would be more fun for your family when your daughters are older. Plus a few posters have mentioned that their young children where actually scared of the movies.

Yes, they do have tables that seat 6 and a few picnic tables in the back. But when we were there the place was packed and it looked like everyone was just given what was available.

We are actually going to both on our next trip! We always eat at Sci~fi every trip and they kids ALWAYS love it and can't wait to go back. We have never been to Prime Time and on our last couple of trips we tried to get ADR's while we were theere and could not both times:( This time I made a ADR there also and looking foward to trying it also!

Primetime, without a doubt!! This is especially if you like to have fun and play along. The atmosphere is a huge part of the whole meal, which I've always found to be great.

I love going to Prime Time. I find the atmosphere to be fun, not annoying. I think some people might get annoyed because they didn't know what to expect. We had a great time and the food was good.

50's Prime time has the better food by far but you can't beat sci fi's theme.(But you sure can beat the food)If you have to go to sci fi,go at lunch. It's cheaper and has food you'd actually have at a drive in.The dinner menu is kinda bad in my opinion.
