Sci Fi onion rings

Thinking about going to Sci Fi for lunch. We will be on the Regular DP.

If we get a burger can we substitute the fries for onions rings or do you have to order them seperate? The onion rings are on the appetizer section of the menu. So we would have to pay out of pocket to get these. I was hoping we could substitue them for the fries.

Anyone done this on the DP?

I read your post because we are thinking about Sci-Fi for one of our meals and I was curious.

We do the Dining Plan also. I was looking at the menu for Sci-Fi from the link on the WDW home page. Onion Rings are listed as an appetizer choice, so you could choose that as an appretizer and I bet they could just bring it with your meal...

We dined at Sci Fi in September (on DDP) & our waitress offered them as a substitute for fries or 50/50 fries & onion rings. My DS had both & myself & DD had just the rings which were served with a side of yummy thick ranch dressing. They are really good, I would even pay oop for them.

Just returned, and ate at Sci-Fi. I asked if they would sub onion rings for fries, he had no problem. However after DF heard they were world class, we stuck with fries and ordered the onion rings off our DP. Well worth it! I Didn't mind paying for those at all!!!

That's good to know, thanks. We ordered an order of O-rings to share as any appetizer, & couldn't eat them all. We tried to eat some of the french fries, which were also good, too. If I had know this, we would have ordered 1/2 & 1/2. We'll try that next time. FWIW, we don't use DDP, but I wouldn't think that matters.

We do this every time we go. My husband gets a burger with fries and I get a burger with onion rings. We share our sides. The appetizer onion rings are just too big for us. Plus, we need room for a shake.
