We want to try Sci-Fi, it looks like fun and I think the kids will enjoy eating in the car. Which do you recommend lunch or dinner. How big are the portions, could you share? Do I need to make ARs?

Thanks

Go ahead and make an AR and MAKE SURE YOU GET A CAR OF YOUR OWN. I actually really enjoyed the burger, fries and (FABULOUS) shake I had here (but I was on Weight Watchers at the time -- I'd've eaten sawdust at the time  ) but the restaurant was 80% empty and they put us in the BACK of a full car right next to the entrance to the kitchen (guess it was CLOSER for the CMs to service the cars). It was very awkward and the lady in front of me kept flipping her waist-length hair in my face.

Make sure you ask your CM to take a photo, too! Sci-Fi makes a GREAT photo op.

Lunch menu is better than dinner, and cheaper. Yes, you'll want to make an ADR.

I think you could possibly split an entree, but they aren't huge.

Lunch menu is the way to go. Dinner has different items, and not so good.

Make a PS or you might not get a car. First time we went without one, and just sat at a table.

Pleeeease take my advice and do not do dinner at this place.

We first went there many years ago and had lunch which was great.

Last year we did dinner there and it was the worst food we ever had. Stick with burgers and the onion rings and you will enjoy it. For some reason their dinner menu food is horrible. It's not the typical lunch fare. It was REALLY REALLY BAD.

We are not pickey eaters at all, but all three of us left our food uneaten because it was so bad. I didn't even complain, I just wanted to get out of there. If you want a nice dinner menu the Brown Derby is excellent, but the atmosphere will not thrill the kids like the sci-fi will.

We booked an early dinner for our trip, have read on the DIS you can order from lunch menu still (expecting to pay up of course) but it looks like a lot of fun!

Lunch is a better choice since there's a burger on the menu. Also, it's very easy to split a meal but always remember that anyone can order off the kids menu. At any time. This is a fav of my husband and me and we are long gone from having kids.

The burger isn't listed on the dinner menu, but they are still happy to make it for you. Eat the burger and fries! Think "drive in"-- NOT "dining out" and you will have a great time.
