Sci-Fi in Sept. 12:00?

What time does Sci-Fi start serving lunch?

I can finally start making our ps for our September trip
Called this morning for 9/20 and was told they didn't start serving lunch until 12:00. Took the 12:00 ps but this seems wrong to me. I really wanted to get something earlier say 11:30 or 11:45.

Do MGM restaurants really open this late during a slow time or was I misinformed?

Not sure what the answer is, but I'm in the same boat as you! I just called yesterday for some of our PS's in Sept & we couldn't get a PS at Mama Melrose's until 12 pm either! I was really hoping for an 11 - 11:30 am PS - we always skip breakfast on MGM mornings in order to go on RNRC & TOT.

I had this same problem last November when making PS. I wanted an early SI FI, but could only get noon. I found out later that they starting serving at 11:00 OR 11:30, but reserve that time for walk-ins. We showed up early for our PS and got in prior to noon anyway.

However I had the same situation with Nine Dragons in Epcot so we showed up early. That restaurant did not start serving until noon.

I guess it just depends on where you have the PS.

Thanks for the heads up LYNSUE! If we're hungry before noon, we may definitely try to get in earlier with our PS. I'm not sure we'll need many PS's that time of year, but I figured better safe than sorry (and hungry!)

Thanks for this thread. I will be calling soon for our sept trip and was gonna try to get an 11:30 PS. Maybe they do it this way in the slower season?

We were there in May and I was able to book an 11:30 PS for Sci Fi. Oh well. I guess we will just show up a little early if we are hungry and maybe get in earlier.
