Sci-fi in DHS is a neat place to go at least once...problem is, last time we were there not one of us liked our food.

We want to take our nephews there this fall, but need some suggestions on what to order.

Last time I ordered a hamburger and thought it was awful. I also didn't care for the chili. Anyone?:confused3

DBF and I were just there around 2 weeks ago, and both had the steak and Chocolate Tart. Both were very yummy, this is what i always order here!!!

Onion Rings and milk shakes! YUMMMM :goodvibes

there were 8 of us last time we went. not one of us left there ever wanting to go back. the food stinks, i would just go somewhere else.

We went there just a few weeks ago and hate to say... none of us were thrilled with our meals. (and our family is not hard to please) Actually this is the one place we all agreed we would not waste our time/money on again. If you want to try the experience.... I would do like others have posted... go for desserts/milkshakes/onion rings.

What's wrong with the burgers? We have a lunch ADR next month. It will be our 1st time eating there, & I thought we could all order a burger. That's usually a safe bet.

I've always enjoyed the burgers there and have usually had great meals there, only occasionally have I said ahh that wasn't the best.

2 of our burgers were very pink in the middle. Waiter had attitude when we kindly asked to have them redone.

1 burger was just barely done enough, but was rubbery like it had been boiled...kind of like the texture of public elementary school burgers?

This was last November. Of course, YMMV!

Our onion rings and shakes were good--just don't know if we could make a "meal" of that!

I had lunch in August I had the blt soup, the beefburger with melon and cucumber salad and the sundae with chocolate milkshake. Wasn't to keen on the salad but liked everything else will be going back next year.

We just got back, and we thought it was good. DH had the steak, I had a burger and my MIL had the steak wedge salad. I also had the BLT soup and thought that was great. The milkshakes were also a hit with the kids

Ah, I can see why that would be a problem. We like our burgers pink in the middle. That sounds perfect for us.

We only go at lunch time. DH and I split the Italian grilled sandwich or the smoked turkey sandwich and a milk shake. Both are pretty darn good! :thumbsup2

Have you already told the nephews about Sci-Fi? If not, why not just go somewhere else? I mean, they can't miss what they don't know.

They want to go there...and it's really a pretty cool concept.

Just trying to find the best bets on the menu...maybe the grilled Italian sandwich will do.

Thanks!:goodvibes

It's good- honest! We also go just for the ambiance. That is why we do lunch and nosh and do a "real dinner" later on :thumbsup2

My ds liked the burger, dd said the reuben was ok (she is somewhat picky and likes comfort foods), I had a soup and it was pretty good, and I can't remember what dh ate. We went last November and we are going back in December.

Give another menu item a try, ya never know.
