Any personal reviews on how the Sci-fi is for dinner?

Most people seem to eat there for lunch and I'm looking for a dinner place in HS.

I'd recommend 50's Prime Time at HS. IMO, it's the only place in HS worth eating at. (Harsh yes, but my family doesn't even like most of the CS places here.) Either that or hop out of the park and head over to Spoodles at the Boardwalk.

I'm not hearing alot of good stuff about HS overall. :)

Basically going there to see the Block Party parade/bash thing and to check out the Osborne lights. Not sure if there will be alot more that my 2 1/2 DS will be interested in.

May just eat before and after we get there.

There's a lot of stage shows and the like. Plus something to do with Playhouse Disney?? I think...

Sorry, I'm 23 and have no kids or nieces or nephews, so I'm kind of out of the loop there. I'm not sure about how it would fit for a 2 1/2 year old, but the TSM ride might work. You might want to check with others :) Also, there's a TON of characters at this park.

Sci Fi is just kind of bland and the food is just okay. Your DS might get a kick out of eating in the cars though. The thing about it is that you don't go there for the food, you go there for the atmosphere. For a 2 1/2 year old, I'm not sure how much he'll enjoy 50s either, I think you need to be a bit older to get that. (To understand the servers are just playing.) I think if you decide to go to Sci Fi, just go in not expecting the World (hah..get it!?) and you'll wind up enjoying yourself.

We ate an early dinner at Sci-Fi a couple of weeks ago. The dinner menu is very similar to the lunch menu, but I think one or two of the entrees are different. I had the Shrimp Pasta, DW had the reuben and our daughters had Beef & Macroni and Mac'NCheese. We all liked our dinners. I would say you can definitely get better meals at many of the Disney restuarants, but the food was very good. Adults can use milkshakes as either their drink or dessert, and kids could only use as their dessert (under the DDP).

We went with extended family last September- and we liked the food, thought it was really good. We had 4 kids from 5-14, and 4 adults, and we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Thanks again!

I think part of my hesitation was that I didn't want to "waste" one of our TS credits on a place that's basically a 'burger place' of sorts.

But it looks like we're not going to use a TS the night we get there, so in essence it's a 'freebie' in my mind now.

Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney, TSM and Muppet Vision are must-dos when I take my 2 yr old next month.

We really enjoy Sci Fi and my DD(9) insist we go every trip.

I think you can make better use of a TS from a quality of foodstandpoint and also from $$$ standpoint under the DDP. The Sci-Fi is more of a theme or atmosphere place, but your 2-1/2 year old is probably not old enough to appreciate it.

Actually, if you look at their menu, I don't think they even serve burgers at dinner.

All 4 of the adults in our group got different entrees and they were all good, I got a great steak.:goodvibes

I love Sci-fi Dine-in. never had any problems and the food has always been great.

Burgers are not listed on the menu for dinner, but you can get them if you ask.

We were there last week & Hollywood Brown Derby was by far our best meal. We didn't have dinner at Sci-fi, but we had a great lunch there. We all liked the burgers, fries, & O-rings. The kids loved the shakes. Our Sci-fi lunch was the best non-dinner TS meal we had, & we ate 2 a day. The atmosphere was the best we experienced. On our next trip, HBD & Sci-fi are most likely the only places we'll repeat from that trip.
