Sci-Fi Diner

Just returned last week from the World. We had late lunch PS at Sci-Fi Diner and we pleasantly surprised. The food was great, especially the salad with bleu cheese crumbles and walnuts on it. Since I was spliting a sandwich with my sister, I was tempted to order a second salad, but didn't since my daughter was getting a shake and I knew I was going to get part of it. The atmosphere was GREAT, the movie volume was not loud, and the lights were low and the other diners were quiet. It was a very relaxing/soothing place to eat, after being out in the 90 degree Florida sun all day.

I don't see many good comments on Sci-Fi, maybe DW and I should give it try for lunch. I think we have been to all MGM dining venues but the Sci-Fi.

We hadn't seen good reviews on Sci-Fi either, so we had never eaten there. In June, we decided to give it a try and LOVED it.

The atmosphere is just too cool! We all enjoyed our food. It is a not miss on our future trips!

We eat there everytime we go. Would'n miss it. We have never had a bad meal. They make a fantastic grill cheese. They also make a to die for Baileys Irish Cream milk shake.

We ate dinner there in Oct. Our girls Loved it. Dh & I enjoyed it for the experience but I've heard lunch is better. YOu have to try it yourself. Sometimes more than once.

We ate @ Planet Hollywood in June and really enjoyed ourselves and I read about many bad experiences at that place.

We have always enjoyed the Sci Fi and find the food very good as well as an excellent atmosphere. The cars are fun to sit in..bring back memories of the old drive in theatres, lol.

Haven't tried it during dinner, but the lunch has always been fantastic!

I love Sci-Fi Dine-In!! I have seen many, many unfavorable reviews of it on these boards over the years. I believe it is one of those restaurants that you either love it or hate it. As for myself, I have eaten there many times, and will continue to do so.

That's right, I read so many horrible reviews on the food, but really wanted to experience the atmosphere. I also noticed the same bad reviews would nevertheless rave about the milkshakes, so we went around 3 or 4PM just for milkshakes. We were seated without a wait at that time, and were able to enjoy a quick stopover and snack. It sure is a fun place and I plan to go back again!

Glad you enjoyed it.We just ate there last monday and always enjoy the atmosphere.LOL at those movie clips (but they scared me to death when I was a kid.LOL)picked up a couple more of those glowing ice cubes.CM told me someone came in and purchased 200 of them for their DD wedding to put in drinks.

I have had all good experiences for LUNCH!! I haven't particularly enjoyed dinner at Sci-Fi. I go for lunch on every trip!!!!

We have never had a bad lunch at Sci-Fi. We haven't had dinner yet. I was nervous on our last trip because we were traveling with a group of 6. The four who had not eaten there all raved how much they loved it. Especially the atmosphere and to get out of the August afternoon sun for a break.
