Sci Fi Diner / Indiana Jones question

Hello! We currently have a 12:00 ADR at Sci Fi on Memorial Day. Indiana Jones is at 12:00 and 1:15. There is an ADR available at 12:35, but would we make it in time from the 12:00 Indiana show?

The show is a half hour, and it is a very short walk from the theater to sci fi. So, if you sit close to the exit, at most you will be a few minutes late, though you will most likely make it just in time. I would go for it.

Worst case scenario, you have to wait a little longer for your table. But, they won't no-show you and charge you the fee if you are only a few minutes late.

I would keep your 12:00 ADR and go to the show at 1:15. The longest I have ever stayed at Sci Fi is an hour since the clip cycle is about 42 minutes and we, um, had another beer. So, you could do lunch easily in an hour and then go over for the show at 1:15.

I agree that Sci Fi is generally fairly quick, but I have had meals that took close to 90 minutes (including time waiting to be seated). So there is a chance you wouldn't finish in time to get to Indy at 1:15 pm, even if the ADR is at noon.

I also think that it's unlikely that they'll charge you the no show fee if you're a few minutes late to your reservation, but they can opt to treat you as a walk-up if needed. There is no set grace period, so it depends entirely on the CM at the podium, how busy they are (i.e., are they running behind schedule), etc.

Personally, I would keep looking for an 11:30 am ADR (for the 1:15 pm Indy show) or a 1:00 pm ADR (for the noon Indy show). I would rather have enough time between activities then spend the entire time looking at my watch worrying that I won't make the next activity.

Yes, trying for a slightly later adr would be ideal. Barring that, better to have the activity with the set end time first.

And, there are lots of good seats close to the exit
