We have an ADR for our upcoming trip and I was looking at some photos of the cars at Sci-Fi. We are pooh-sized and I am just wondering if anyone has ever had difficulty fitting into the seats? We can usually fit into most booths, although some are tight. I think I read that there are tables at the back but I would prefer to sit in a car although I don't want to be embarrassed if we don't fit. Any info?? :confused3

you should be ok 2 across, if not just do 1 across, that is the whole problem, indeed the only problem i have with this restaurant, the fact that if there is 3 or 4 of you someone is looking at the back of someones head and it is possible that you may be sharing a car with strangers and looking at the back of their head

Yes, you can call back, have them pull up your ADR, and request a car table with chairs or a patio table with chairs in back. The only thing is that you may have to adjust your ADR as they do book the cars with chairs in peoples ADRs for parties of 6. We just at there 9 days ago and when I made our ADR for 6, she asked what type of table I wanted and that dictated what time we could get in.

Theres actually a car outside that is the same as the seats you sit in inside minus the little table which is in the car inside Sci-Fi. You guys could just pose for a picture and see if the cars are comfy for you guys. :thumbsup2

They are not that big. When we went my dh and my 2 year old sat in one and I sat in front of them.

You should be fine with one in front of the other if next to each other is tight and don't worry most families are split anyhow with more then two people.

We lliked the patio tables better. We are a family of three, so DD and I sat in one seat and DH in back of us. So you can't really talk and it was so dark. Friends of ours went and they got in back of a "big hair" lady and she was moving her head and my friend said it was too dark to see if any hairs were flying!

They are not that big, we saw a family coming in the DH was very pooh sized and unfortunately could not fit in the seat, he ended up leaving his wife and son stayed and ate dinner, I really felt bad for him.
The idea of trying out the car outside is a great idea.

We have an ADR for October and there are 6 of us(It's three adults and three children although DD9 will be 10 so she's considered an adult). They never asked us about tables or anything. Will we be put at 2 seperate booths/tables/cars?

They automatically seat you in a car if you have an ADR unless you requested a table instead. There are cars with 2 rows and cars with 3 rows, so a family of 6 would be seated in a car with 3 rows so that you could sit with 2 people in each row.

Each car has 3 rows, which can usually seat 2-3 people. I expect for your party of 6 they will have you take up one full car, giving you all three rows of seats. It is a fun place, but not great for conversation!

I was reasonably pooh sized and also 8 months pregnant one time at the Sci FI and I fit in- it was a touch tight but I was able to get my baby belly in there.I don't think the car outside has the tables does it? How pooh sized are you talking about if you want to pm me and I'll try to be more specific?

I asked this question not to long ago. My hubby is pooh sized, and sometimes (not often, but sometimes) has trouble with booths at reg restaurants, we only want to sit in the car if we ate here.

I pretty much decided based on the answers that we could have a potentially embarrassing (and if so, my son would freak at not sitting in the car) situation once there, so we opted to forgo it completely.

Were doing 50's PT instead, and besides the food's better :)

When I went last year I was at my highest weight ever .. 5'9" and 241 lbs... and had NO PROBLEM fitting. every car I saw only had 2 people in each seat allowing for 6 people per car if I remember. If you have small children you could probably fit like... 3-4 in a seat.

it has to depend on your middle. Do you carry the wieght in your tummy, butt etc? Butt shouldnt be an issue, but my DH is 277 and 5'8" and doesnt even want to attempt it based on other reviewers. He does hold a lot in his belly, i believe he is a 44 waist.
