Hey all, I want to go to Sci-Fi for the atmosphere... but I've heard that the food was pretty mediocre so I was just wondering which entree was the best or if anyone actually liked a particular dish. Thanks! :goodvibes

We've eaten at the Sci-Fi several times and have found that the burgers and the reuben sandwich are always good. The burger is not on the dinner menu but we've never had a problem ordering it at dinner.

We have been twice and had the burgers, reuben and onion rings and loved them all...didnt like the spinach dip thing at all

Thank you!

That reminds me, please tell me if there's anything I should absolutely avoid!

I've had the ribs and they are FANTASTIC!!!!! OH SOOO YUMMY!! you gotta try that one!! Shakes are delish as well. And yes, burgers are great too. :thumbsup2

I love SCI FI!!! Such a fun place!

I really like the beef and blue salad. They make a good burger too. I wasn't wowed by the desserts so now we save room for a treat at Starring Rolls instead.

I've had the spinach artichoke dip- verryyyy good!!!! i also had the hot fudge sundae, avoid this!!! they use really gross ice cream :(

When at the Sci-Fi always consider that you are eating at a drive-in movie theater and order accordingly.
Burger, Onion Rings, shakes, are a good bet. The more "dinner" like items are hit and miss.

Avoid the turkey sandwich. I've had everything on Sci Fi's lunch menu due to the number of times we have dined here and the turkey sandwich is really horrible.

I agree with MickeyNicki on the spinach dip too. That' some pretty nasty stuff.

None of the food is as good as the milkshakes.

The four of us had dinner there last November and really enjoyed it. DD and I had the shrimp pasta and thought it was good, DH had ribs and said that they were very tasty, and DGD had the Italian chicken sandwich which she didn't like at all, but she's 10 and a picky eater. We all had shakes for our drink and ended up being too stuffed for dessert so we asked for the fresh fruit salad which our server boxed up for us to take out. I was a little apprehensive making an ADR at the Sci Fi due to so-so reviews here, but I'm really glad that we decided to go there.

I had the Shrimp Pasta - Bow tie pasta and sauteed shrimp tossed with olive oil, garlic, basil, and fresh tomatoes, topped with parmesan - and it was excellent. :)
DH had the Butcher Steak - with a red wine glaze, seasonal vegetables, and potato - I know it's not on the lunch menu - but if anyone is reading this and planning to go for dinner, put it on your *avoid* list. ;) Very stringy - more like pot roast.

The Oreo Cookie Milkshake was :cloud9:.

The BLT (bacon, lettuce and tomato) soup is good. It's a really creamy tomato soup to which they add crumbled bacon (we usually tell them to skip the lettuce). It just has a really good flavor.

Burgers and Reubens were good for us too.
I've had the smoked turkey sandwich and I liked it. But that has been a couple of years ago.

We like lunch here especially on a hot day. I'm not a big sandwich eater, I usually order salads, yet I enjoy the sandwiches here.
