A quick question regarding the dining plan - even though we are on the dining plan is it possible to just pay out of pocket and share a meal? We find the portions so large there... thanks.
Yes, you can PPO, but you could also share a meal and still use the dining plan (we do it all the time). For example if you have an ADR for 2, and you only order 1 meal and share, they'll only take 1 credit off your plan. This won't work at buffets or all you care to enjoy type places, but regular restaurants, other than one in Italy at Epcot, you can share while using the dining plan.

As the previous person stated, yes you can use one credit on the dining plan and share a meal. You can also pay out of pocket if you wish. BTW they have awesome milkshakes. I highly recommend you NOT share them....i'd want my own. The oreo shake is my fave. Burgers here are good too!
As others have said, for the most part you can share while on the DDP. This means you can use one credit to feed two people or use one credit and pay OOP for the other person. You cannot "share" at buffets (e.g., Chef Mickey), all-you-care-to-eat/family style meals (e.g., 'Ohana), dinner shows (e.g., HDDR), fixed priced meals (e.g., CRT), dining packages (e.g., Fantasmic dining package), items that are designed "for two" (e.g., Parrillada at La Hacienda), or at Via Napoli. Any items designated "for two" means that two people using the DDP will need to order it (so basically it takes two credits to order that item).
