sci-fi and 50's cafe

We have been to SciFi on every trip. The 1st 2 times we went without ADRs. Ever since though, we have had one. Last trip was our 1st to 50s PT & it may become a "have to" spot. It was so good.

I'll know for sure after next week. :)

We like the food at 50's better than Sci-Fi. But Sci-fi is one of the neatest restaurants. and ironically the most quiet restaurant I've ever been in.... Either would be fun.

I like the food at 50's it really have that home cooked feeling about it. The meatloaf is awesome and I also really recommend the chicken pot pie. They were both so yummy that I asked and got the receipe for both!!

I've never been to Sci-Fi but 50s PTC is really fun, though the experience you have really depends on the waiter. The first time we went, our server was totally into character, even going as far as to punish my sister and I for having our elbows on the table. (Our punishment consisted of us pressing sugar packets to the wall with our noses!) The second time we went, our waited barely did anything special, it was more like just eating at a diner. Still, the food is delicious, especially the milkshakes + the fried chicken.

Overall, is Sci-Fi worth trying??

I agree on the waiter making the experence at 50s PTC. When my DW and I went last year our server was right at the boundry where weird and funny crosses into creepy and scary. The server at the next group of tables had her tables near rolling on the floor laughing. One other note is that the portions at 50s PTC are huge. My wife and I both ordered a sundae for dessert, and neither of us put much of a dent into them.
