When you book Sci fi, do you always automatically get a car, there are 6 in our party? This is the main reason we are going, so I hope so. I recall going years ago with no ADR and sitting at a table in the back...

We have always got a car but we normally have to hitch as there are only two of us. You can always ask when you check in to have a car you might have to wait a bit longer but it is fun. At least you have an ADR when we were there last year we had an ADR but there were ques of people trying to get a table.

I don't think you are guaranteed to sit in a car. However, I think when you check in, you should just tell the CM that you want to make sure you get a car and make sure they understand you are willing to wait longer. They should accommodate the request.

I'm hoping for a car too - but we're a group of 7. Will they put 3 kids in one row? (They would fit - I DO know that much!)

They will put 3 in a row if they will fit.

From what a CM told me there, if you have an ADR, you will sit in a car. If you are a walk up, you may get seated at one of the tables. I don't know if it's true, you know how misinformed some CMs are.

We have dined here at least a dozen times, with an ADR, and have always sat in a car.

At Sci Fi there are more cars than tables...so changes are, you'll be sitting in a car! Esp if you have a ressie. :thumbsup2 Large parties can sit at a table but if you specifically ask for a car they will put you in one!! I dont think being seated at the tables is any fun at all. For us its always the front seat of a car, and we're willing to wait for it!

I didn't really pay attention when I was there before, I guess, but seating wise -

3 kids (2 are 7 and 1 is 9) and 4 adults - should we let the kids sit in the front row? Is that the best view for short kiddos?

My initial thought was 2 adults - 3 kids - 2 adults but the post about getting the front row makes me wonder if it matters...

I guarantee the kids will BEG to sit in the front row. A bonus is that the "driver" gets a SCI FI drivers license! haha! :) Its more fun for them to sit in the front...so why not right? :thumbsup2
