Does anyone know of any work or activites that can be done on a trip/relaing to Disney or Florida? When I say work, I mean shcool-related activites (i.e. Math, English, even History.) The work shoudl be for a 13-year old gir (grade 8)l and a 10-year old girl (grade 6) Any suggestions?

This is more on a geography level which you didn't mention - but I thought I'd toss it out anyway. We get a passport for each of our school-aged girls in EPCOT -- as we go to each country, they get the passport signed in the native language by a CM --- I then have my DD's use a post-it note on each page to translate what the CM had written and then write a short description of the country and its symbols, trademarks, etc. When they get back to school, they each do a short oral report to their class about each of the EPCOT countries they visited. A lot of the countries have free crafts or "goodies" that they give out - my DD's would also bring these to school to show their class during their report.

Thanks! If anyone has any ideas I got a list of subjects that will be missed. Any thing at all would be great! I've been given a few from friends as well, so I hope to have a few educational but fun work ideas.

Math (Graphing Assingment- Thanks to a friend)
English
History
Geography (EPCOT Countries- Thanks snickerdoodle)
French
Science
Art
Or any other extra credit work would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks :grouphug:

I have had my daughter (9yr) write reports on the transportation systems we used to get or while at disney. ie., airplane, rental car, disney bus, monorail, etc. She also picks a country in Epcot, investigates it before we leave, visits the country and talks to a CM, then returns a report to school. You could have the girls write an essay for English.

French - visit France and have a conversation with one of the CM's, then do a written or oral report on how easy or difficult it was, etc.

Good Luck. I find we incorporate education with all our vacations.

PS. One year had my son , then 4 yrs) draw pictures about the things we saw and he took them to his preschool teacher as his "homework"

Enjoy your trip.
