School trip to the opticians

that is rather cute, but maybe one day she'll see that it's not the better option!

Can you imagine a child coming out of the opticians crying because she doesn't need specs!!! :rotfl2:

Have to say that I think DD would have been disappointed had she not needed glasses :confused3

Strange things, kids ;)

DS is on his 5th prescription (but 7th pair of glasses) in 2 years! the optician said that because of his age (14) and growing so fast etc his prescription has changed alot but he has also broken two pairs, one when a basketball hit him in the face and once when a friend caught him in the face when going to point at something!!! I always take his and DH prescription on holiday with me as well, because they wear them all the time it would be a disaster if they were to break whilst out of the country, thankfully I have not had to use it though

My mother faught with me to wear glasses because she was told that if I didn't wear them I would loose my binocular vision. When I was sixteen my eye specialist told us that I had never lost my binocular vision because I was born without it, if looks could have killed he would have been history. Much later I went to an optician because my work medical wanted it and they told me that 80% of people who have my eye condition have lost the use of one eye by the time they are 30 I have both.
