Anyone buying school supplies yet? I have not been to Wal-Mart or Target in a while. Has anyone seen the bargain prices on school supplies there yet? I can't believe that school starts here in about 3 weeks! Eeks!

I haven't bought any yet. I am waiting for the Staples penny sales. But I was at Walmart last night and they had glue and crayons for 25 cents a pack.

I started buying last night. I am not sure if there will be penny deals this year? Two years ago the deals were great, last year they were mediocre and nothing we really used. The year they had those pencil boxes was cool though!!!

Anyway, Walmart has the themebooks for 15 cents, the paper folders for 15 cents, glue sticks/crayola 24 packs for 25 cents, composition notebooks for 60 cents, and looseleaf paper for 75 cents. Good deals so far!

my DH was laid off the entire month of june, so i've been buying a couple of things each week for over a month, and several items on DD's list i already had, so i've only got 2 items left to buy! (copy paper and pack of binder dividers)

Staples sales are supposed to start this Sunday. Not sure if they are penny sales this year or not.

I started mine as soon as my Walmart put them out, crayons, markers, glue sticks, protracters, and $1 calculators (for my elementary school kids), pens. I'm still holding out for some good sales on filler paper, composition notebooks, zipper binders and pencils.

Walmart was putting stuff out when I was there on Tuesday. I got spiral notebooks for 25 cents ea, saw crayolas (24) and glue sticks for 30 cents ea. I need to go back with my list...

I also went through leftovers from previous years and won't actually need to buy too much. Each of the boys has a notebook, one has a good backpack and the other just got a new one, I have unsharpened pencils out the wazoo, and plenty of pencil cases, markers, erasers, etc.

I think all I'm going to need to buy is notebook paper, graph paper, and the classroom supplies (tissues, ziplocks, etc).

I've grabbed a few of the free after ecbs stuff at cvs. I also got lunchboxes and backpacks already.

This year toys r us is a lot cheaper with the backpacks, the free lunchbox wyb one backpack deal ends Saturday. I noticed most of the backpacks are only $14.99 this year. Also if you buy a disney one priced $14.99 or higher you get a free mickey water bottle.

Yes, I bought 6 items so far that were on sale here at Meijer. The prices were better than I had seen at Walmart in the past. I was happy to pick up 2loose leaf paper for .39, some markers and 24 crayons. I'm waiting for Staples to see if they have some good deals on glue sticks and pencils.
I only like wooden pencils, so we'll see if there's a good price on those. I hate those plastic/waxy type.

Just keep looking on the budget board for good deals and check your flyers.

My Walmart had .25 Crayola (24ct) and .60 marble copybooks! I picked up 8 of each:thumbsup2. They also had decorated folders for .97, but still hadn't put everything out yet.

I went to walmart last night and got

notebooks .15
glue sticks .25
pencils .50
scissors .50
crayons .25

I just need to get folders, tissues, and ziploc bags and my girls are ready for back to school.

3 weeks?!?! Wow, my kids don't start for another 8 weeks & 5 days! It's so strange how it can be so different throughout the country.:)

I was at Office Max last night and there was a sign on the door that said, "School supplies for pennies". I looked around and didn't see anything. But maybe that means the sale will start on Sunday????

I looked through my stock of school supplies from last year and I still have a lot of stuff.

Wow those deals sound awsome. Our kids go back on August 31st so got a while yet.
We usually have a good few deals but not have as good as the deals that have been mentioned

if anyone sees a good deal on copy paper, please post it. i think wal-mart's lowest price is $3.97.

CVS has multiple school items free after extrabucks in each of the next 2 ads. That includes pencils, pens, notebook paper, notebooks, and more. We'll wait until Sunday morning to get our supplies.

Walmart had copy paper for $2.50.

I spent about $22 on everything for my first grader. The clorox wipes, baby wipes, papertowels, etc cost the most! She needed 8 pocket folders and they had some in the clearance aisle for 50 cents that were Disney related.

We don't get to buy school supplies. We have to pay the school $20 per child instead. This year I have 3 kids in school so that is $60. I bet I could buy their supplies cheaper then that with the penny deals and sales at Walgeens and CVS.

I just looked at next weeks staples ad on-line. They have copy paper for a penny after easy rebate. It says that you can get two deals per customer.
