School supplies Thread

Still looking for cheap filler paper and plastic folders !! Don't have a Staples around here so can't use that one . Got some at Walgreens last week! WalMart is still 50c and I know they were cheaper last year!!

We have a staples somewhat close by. We were there when they opened this morning and I bought the limit on ruled college filler paper (5) and the limited on the mechincal pencils (2). Dh went as well and bought the same thing. We spend $1.01 a piece.

I have 2 teenagers and they use the filler paper. I try to have 20 packs or so at the beginning of school year. I keep everything in an antique pie safe. My children know they have their supplies in there through out the school year. I always buy when things are on sale and stock up on things. It helps when school starts back.

I went to Walgreens today and got some of the 9 and 19 cent items. They were out of the Bic highlighters. Oh, well. Target was out of water color paints too. Grrr... Anyway, at Walgreens, my order rang up at $7 something. I thought that was high, but I was keeping track of three kids, so I checked when I got outside. Yup, $4 too much. I went back in and it turns out I grabbed the wrong pack of paper, one thing rang up wrong, and one coupon wasn't working right. Anyway, they gave me the money back, so it worked out okay. But I had to haul all the kids back in and had to go to the car twice to exchange items! lol What I don't do to save a few bucks!

Don't you hate when that happens. We were doing school clothes shopping last weekend and I purposely bought 2 pairs of jeans because they were on sale for $13. and some odd change and I bought DH a pair of shoes. SHoes rang up wrong and I told her they were $6 cheaper. She changed the price. I got to the car and realized the jeans rang up 15.99. My DH said just to forget it. I said NO WAY!! I took the receipt back to the service desk in Kohl's and got a credit back to my Kohl's card for $4.50. If I had not been watching I would have overpaid by $10.50!
